  3. Moan, moan, moan thats all it feels like people do some days as if they want nothing else to brighten their day up more than for you to get out of their way, out of sight and be quiet, grrr gets real annoying especially when nothing gets done about the real scum on the streets, its like some great spots just get ruined through peoples carelessness of smashing glass, We had this guy the other day told us to F**k off because our bikes were too load and it was upseting his dog yet i didnt hear his dog bark one (Maybe cause heatsink snowies are so dam load) but still, there was no need for him to be so aggressive towards us, and of course when people get aggressive with you, you get aggressive with them and so on.. Wish people would chill out sometimes and just instead moan appriciate what we can do with our bike like some rare few do. Griff.
  4. I prefur a water bleed personally like so many others, yes anti freeze is a must if you are getting into the winter months, However there is the stigma that water bleeds ruin seals after a long period of time in some cases this is true but others it isnt, aslong as you maintain your brakes enough then there should be no problems, If you are thinking of running a water bleed with braided hosing then definalty go for the hope hs33 braided hose kit because it has a larger diameter inside compared to the magura braided hose kit, and this larger diameter allows for a water bleed to function better and is more responsive to the rider. Griff.
  5. Hey there EssexGalTay if you are after a shorter frame that feels great to ride even if you are not too short yourself, then i would highly recommend the Adamant A3 short, its a well constructed frame that is plenty strong enough yet still stays light and it feels great on the back wheel due to its higher BB. The GU isnt really a short frame as the 07 one is 1025mm compared to the adamant a3 short which is 1005mm, But with all this in mind you have stated that you are new to this and so i would recommend staying away from these frames for now as you probably won't get the most out of them and will have more scrapes and dents from learning, the echo team frame and monty pr221 are both lower priced and still nice and short but will help you progress till you find their limits.. Griff.
  6. Could i recommend if you'd rather the beer money, the FSA DH pro not quite as steep a price as the echo, gu, adamant etc Yet i have found it performs very well for the money, that being said when i changed frames i changed the heatset over to a echo and its just as nice. Best of luck in your search Griff.
  7. hmm my favs would be: Slut, Swish, have it!, c*mrot, slag, And some of my other well known words put together, "Is it broken yet?"
  8. KuelMuel i take it when you say ease the pads apart do you mean turn the screwdriver head slightly or push the pad apart one by one?, and also do i need to pump the lever at all whilst i ease the pads apart? Thanks.
  9. Excellent thanks very much guys, appriciate the help and advice will try and sort it out in the morning with a screwdriver.
  10. Hi there i have a problem with my hope mono mini front disc brake, The problem is that i took off my front wheel so i could fit the bike in a car... all sounds well so far i know.... thing is i pulled the lever by accident and now the pads have gone inwards (compressed) and they didnt return, So i now have not enough gap to be able to put the wheel back in because the disc rotor cant get in between both pads, i believe by the looks of it its just one of the pads that hasnt gone back in, i tried pushing it back in but had no success, So i was wondering if anyone out there could explain to me why this happend and how i can get my brake back to how it was before. Thanks Daniel Griffith.
