  1. I believe most people do know the facts! I agree that it is wrong for people to go on a forum and slag off someone that Wayne is trying to apologize to, in a way I find it ironic! I have been helping Wayne, trying to mediate between him and the ukbiketrial committee. It is true that he hasn’t been banned as yet but it is in the balance. The chairman of the committee asked me to inform Wayne that prior to any meetings taking place it would be in Wayne’s best interests to apologize to Libor in writing and, in addition, make a public apology on Trials-Forum. I advised Wayne to write a letter of apology to Libor, but suggested that a public Forum apology wasn’t necessarily in every ones best interest, but that was what the Chairman wanted. After a long chat with Wayne he said he wanted to do all he could to avoid losing his world Master status (because that’s what is really at stake) and made his Forum apology as requested. Unfortunately I think it’s turned round to bite either Wayne or the committee, I am not sure which, but it must be recognized that Wayne was asked to post on the Forum by the Chairman of the body that potentially seeks to reprimand him. I hope for his sake the powers that be see that Wayne’s post was made with good intentions and in an effort to comply, not to stir up more trouble. Someone said how important it is to have rules and I agree it’s just a little annoying that sometimes new ones can be made up or altered to suit a committee’s intentions. For example in 2005 at the EBU championships, a prominent French rider was not allowed to ride because his license did not resemble a BIU license, however it was the same license that every other French rider had ridden every other BIU comp with and the license presented by the rider when signing on at World events, but for some reason those in charge at the event chose to exclude him. I would urge that we all just wait now and see what happens at the meeting. If things do go wrong for Wayne I do know 1 thing, there will be a cheap air ticket for sale on EBay to Japan
  2. Hey Wayne hasn't Fred aged! like his hat though
  3. It really was a great weekend, props to Ali C and Savage, section 9 time trials anyone who missed it you missed a treat!
  4. not sure about your 1st question but here's the answer to the 2nd why is it raining
  5. I personally don’t think an apology is needed. If I understand it right the spoon could be compared to a straw that someone has placed on the camels back. The bigger issues are the lack of facilities. People traveled far and wide, that’s what most people do for a lot of comps and to not have anywhere to toilet and eat in my opinion is disgraceful. People talk about child protection and all the bullshit politics that are now involved in the sport, well what a fantastic idea, let’s have no loos! And if it was already known that suppliers wouldn’t supply toilets and burger vans to that venue than why have the trial there! CRAZY. The cost of entry to a trial is there to provide the necessities that are needed for such events. The trophies are incidental, and as the levy has been reduced this year I can see why the trophies might be cheap, but no loos.? Quote from ukbiketrial….. Aims and Objectives: To encourage growth of the sport, and therefore youth involvement, by developing and enabling systems for new groups/clubs to embrace To improve the quality of the BikeTrial sport in the UK providing venues of a quality appropriate for British Championship standard providing facilities appropriate for British Championship attention providing awards suitable for British Championship level To increase public interest and to raise media attention in order to encourage a growth of the importance of the sport in the UK To enhance Britain's standing in the World ranking of BikeTrial Something wasn’t right But to top it off according John Peacock, there were no first aiders in attendance. There are some serious issues surrounding the British championships this year (see Wayne’s post in trials chat). I suggest if you aint happy you need to write to the powers that be i.e. EBU and BIU Japan.
  6. As the title suggests…. I need some where to store a trailer this weekend, basically I’m bringing a trailer full of barriers up for the Blackpool trophy this weekend and I’m not putting them out till Sunday morning. So if anyone knows anyone near by and they have a space on their drive it would be much appreciated.

  19. As there are people who want to ride in the British this year but don't want the expense of having to pay for club membership, i thought you might like to know that membership to NBTC is FREE. Just send your applications to the secretary of NBTC and he'll do the rest. FORM HERE
  20. PLEASE ANSWER THE QUESTIONS
  21. My one and only forum post on the subject Phil you have said time and time again that you want Tykes NBTC etc to run British championship rounds, Anthony has spoken to Fred saying the same, even the EBU want everyone to work together. NBTC and tykes have said they are willing to, and want to run British rounds (the ones that give you British status and entry to the worlds) so the answer was yes, hooray everyone agrees! We all want the same thing. Hallelujah that’s it then problem solved……… ER NOT QUITE! The ACU will not let NBTC or tykes run a round unless they affiliate to them and use there insurance. It’s not that you don’t want them or they don’t want to do it. THEY CAN’T!! If you are the democratically elected members of the people who are in control of Biketrial UK, please tell me why can’t you control this situation, why isn’t it you who has the right to say who runs a British round? Crazy! Who owns the car you drive? you or your insurance company! and for jake the answer is ukbiketrial (tupman deeks)
