  1. surely the best thing to do is to turn up to the trial with a 20" & 26" bike, look at the sections then ride the bike that suits them the most, also is it possible to use both bikes in different sections?
  2. Just off to collect the trophies, should be there by 2pm to help lay out the sections.
  3. Thanks for the replies so far but aren't specific enough. Any other suggestions would be welcome. TA!
  4. Does anyone know if there is anywhere you can find weather conditions from the past. What it is, is one of my employees had a car crash (not his fault) on Nov 21st 2006. The other driver is now claiming it was snowing on the day which is a load of tosh, any ideas on how to prove he's telling porkies? Cheers
  5. I'm really pee'd off I couldn't make. I heard it went well though.
  6. here you are John will this do? ps waynio are you going to the meeting in rugby. details here item 7 on the agenda should be interesting, perhaps they're going to reinstate you and give everyone back the monies they've been fined!
  7. Remember people this can be won by any class at the weekend See you all at Shipley Glen PS the end of year Trophies are mint
  8. I think someone's lost the plot. If this is just so that they introduce the single speed, then just introduce the single speed. I can't see anyone benefiting from it. The BIU suffered last year and if thjey go ahead with these proposals then i can see it going further down the pan.
  9. They are going to be plaques and it can be full colour. p.s. don't bother googling it i can't get away using the Jordan one
  10. I am just in the process of ordering all the end of year trophies for the British BikeTrial Federation series which reaches it's cllimax at Shipley Glen on Nov 4th. With technology gone the way it has I need one of you guys to design me a logo in jpeg format. The logo needs to be high res and approx 6x4", it needs to contain the phrase "British BikeTrial Federation" and an evocative Union Jack or similar. The person who designs the winning logo will recieve either free entry to the trial and a £5 food voucher or a crisp £20 from my back pocket. Good luck (oh and i need it by Wednesday) Cheers Mick.
  11. considering most people only did 1 round, in my opinion it's all a load of bollocks! The biu is dead. Lets hope scotland brings out the best in britain.
  12. WAS IT AS BIG AS THIS MAKE SURE YOU OPEN IT TO IT'S FULL SIZE!
  13. see waynio's got his pic in the paper (all for the right reasons this time)
  14. Perhaps we could have a picture/caption competition
  15. Here are the podium pics i was asked for check out some of the facial expressions I've got one more pic but i think i might save it for a new topic
  16. Neil, no one will believe what Wayne did on my section, you had to see it to believe it. I now know where the insaynio comes from. I had the hardest section of the day, I think only about 6 riders from the yellow red and blue routes got through. ukbiketrials lost some serious points at the worlds Anyway here's one of the legend that is mr JP
  17. It begs the question..................................... How can a photograph taken at Hawkstone Park in Shropshire be a preview for Sunday, unless........ The Rochdale sections are not worth taking a photograph of!
  18. That's a pointless argument really as there were still places available for people to go. And I don't think for 1 minute Wayne booked all his flights etc with the intention of getting banned as soon as he got there. The truth is they tried to ban him before he went, but he moved heaven and high water by swallowing his pride and making every apology demanded of him to avoid it, ie sucking up, writing letters, pleading with people who I don't think deserve the time of day and aren't worthy at all. Winding him up didn't stop from the moment the meeting was called to the hassle in Czech, treating him like a juvenile was always going to result in a blow up. I think the committee should be complemented for their persistence and fulfillment of the desires. As for Savage's shirt antics, why is it only English masters who are forced to wear their teams kit during the presentation? Yoshi and Caesar wore their sponsors clothing. I know Koxx fr do not like posting pictures of team riders displaying spurious web site addresses, guess that's why Ben wore it backwards at least everyone should’ve been happy. Anthony, as you obviously like my suggestion for the new team kit (socks) I take it that people calling fellow riders wankers when they are on the podium is now officially part of team etiquette and therefore the people making the gestures etc will not have to face the public humiliation of being hauled over the coals. Also since when have the BIU employed female dogs to observe?
  19. wayne did they make you wear their socks as well?
  20. looks like someone's already drawn the target on his head i say shoot
  21. 4 if you include a retire'ee results are on the results page i was intending to go and see a few old faces but hey the midlands was swimming
  22. and i'm sure you're not the only ones! as for you mr porter, when you're involved in setting out trials then you can complain! you didn't even enter the trial! READ PEOPLES COMMENTS please show me a thread where people praise the official biketrial championship. i made my post because it is factual! I don't appreciate being deemed pathetic when all i've done is my best for the sport. perhaps you'd do better james answering fred rather ducking the issue
  23. PEOPLE FFS WAKE UP!! All this stinks! Here’s a few facts for you. Bracken rocks land owner (information from land owners own mouth) was notified around 3 weeks ago that the venue would not be required as the comp was to run at Kelly, (not Kelly’s), farm. So for all that time the “democratically elected committee” has allowed their electorate to make accommodation reservations, book time off and involve themselves in whole raft of arrangements to allow them selves to compete at a venue in Derbyshire. The competition has been scraped for three weeks. The venue has been cancelled for three weeks. Those that could afford the time or the travelling expense of attending an event in Derbyshire may not be able now to afford a trip to Devon, especially as; The last Trial in Devon was cancelled at a moments notice. Some lost accommodation fees, Some lost £50, £60 - £90 in fuel having already made the journey, that money is lost now. Many competitors will have already made their accommodation bookings for Derbyshire, some will have lost that money – who the hell can afford to go to Devon? Will the Trial be cancelled again, no one knows. There are two Championships running. One has run two events the other four. The group that has run two events provided a good comp at Hook woods (it would be hard not to), then a complete and utter disaster in Wales, with no toilets, no food, no observers at the start, very few entries, and most importantly, NO FIRST AIDER! Potentially putting the few that attended at risk. Who wants to shit, starve or die in a Welsh quarry? A competition has been cancelled. Entry forms are unavailable. Total number attending this groups championship 51, plus 4 guest class riders. link to results The other group has run four well organised competitions at a wide range of venues. The three key facilities (toilets, food and first aid), have always been provided. The events have been well advertised, they have taken place where and when stated. Entry forms have always been available well in advance and results easy to access. Total number attending this groups championship 87, plus 37 guests. link to results So which is the true championship? Surely the better supported one. So, comp riders, are you happy with those that have taken control of the BIU? We live in a democracy, without your support they have nothing. Make your thoughts Known, Email the EBU libor.musil@liko-s.cz Email the BIU b-trial@ztv.ne.jp and even the Monty factory e-bike@monty.es Its up to you – do you want the same again next year? Infact here's a list of all the delegates delegates GET WRITING
