As I wrote in my PM, a D521 will easily fit. A 38mm rim goes in those frames without any trouble.
Ali, any idea where you can get the Tioga rims from?
just the info im looking formate i got the pm mate, cheers for ur help
how simple was that nice anwser to a question and no bitchin (Y)

Why not just say that you're having to make sure your ti spokes fit in the build at the beginning? Have a look for yourself on CRC, they have lots and lots of rims, you're sure to find one in between Echo and 521 width :S
If all else fails, you could probably sell your ti spokes and get some normal ones (which will be just as good) and have a choice of whatever rim you like - I'd personally go for a Ronnie/Echo rim.
yeah i been looking all mornin at different rims but not much luck with specs they hardly lish the widths, found a few, no im not selling my ti spokes and normal ones wouldnt be just as good thus why i have ti spokes.
im al most sure that my spokes will be to short for the echo/ronnie
although i dont know the edr
at least thats helps a bit
cheers (Y)

too much hassle if you ask me, you seem a bit picky and i don't actually know whats going on now, 1st you said you have F519's which will not fit, but now you;re on about you don't even have the frame, so....err (Y) what???
how exactly would you know it won;t fit if you don;t have a the frame yet?.... and i would assume most frames, if not all would take an echo nicely, and its light in my opinion. others such as RONNIE, (rear onza rim is also the same width as an echo) or the REGGIE,(the front version of RONNIE which is 32mm wide/doublewall) so thats that..
if you don't like our help and keep being a mong then just go to a bikeshop and tell them to fit you a rim that will work with whatever set up you've got at the moment.
steve
the reason i know a 519 wont fit is because iv seen loads of pics of the frame built up with koxx rims, and my ashton which a 519 fits in is far to narrow for a koxx rim.
the reason im being picky is because i have ti spokes yes thats over £100 worth and i dont want to replace them just so i can use what ever rim i see first.
so i know my spokes will be ok to build up on to a 521 but they wont be long enough for an echo rim or an onza rim.
so stop posting shit

all im doing is asking a simple question some one here may beable to tell me, you dont know so why are you still posting shit?
-
right i'm not selling this frame on here so don't have a go at me.
i'm just wanting to know what i should ask for it.
its a 2004 frame, in reasonable condition, although the downtubes has around 4-5 dints. the frame isn't that scratched though just 1 small mark on toptube and a couple of scuffs on seat stays. also 1 of the four bolt mount threads are helicoiled. so yeh not in great condition but still a good frame.
so what should i ask 4 it?
thanks
chris
because on the 4 bolt mount i would say around £90-£110 would be about fair, decent condition ones go for about £150 on

You already have the frame right? thats how you no your rim will not fit? Why don't you just measure it yourself? :S
f**ksake if i had the frame i would measure it, some people........... (Y) i know from looking that a mavic f519 will not fit as its about 23mm wide
-
yea hope will make u any thing you want, with disc's it the more eadges the better thats why the wavey one is great, i used it on the rear ubtill my frame snapped was really powerful compared to the standard hope m4 rotor
-
Too late now (N) I've already filed it off one side of the rim ready for grinding (or sanding, not sure which yet)! Went with using a file in the end because the small patch I ground off didn't seem to be coming off that smoothly. I was concerned it was taking too much off the inside edge of the rim at the same time, as I couldn't quite hold the grinder smooth enough to grind just the lip (it kept dipping and catching the inside edge at an awkward angle). It takes a little while longer with a file, but at least I'm happy I'm not wrecking my rim!
will be fine just would have been better with the lip
-
im guessing the frame will have the brake mounts to fit most rims as otherwise it would be a bit of a shit design. you know or think it wont fit mavic rims so go for somthing else, theres loads of other rims around. get bob
well if u havnt noticed im trying to find out what rim would be the best. and to do that i need info
-
what about a revel.
i see people winning elite at ebtc on revel stock bikes.
and they seem to be streety aswell.
thechink
just ride as many bikes as u can an see what u like best dont worry about what other people say

Just get a bloody Echo Rim!!!!
No one really cares THAT much about weight anymore, so stop being a weed.
521 = 590grams
Echo rim(new version) = Approx. 600grams
(N)
f**k sake cant people answer my questions, iv asked a few simple questions and if people dont know the answers to them then please dont post random crap tellin me to get this and that, once i have the info i need then i will make my choice.
so question as follows
1.whats the distance between the brake pads on the ztomz frame?
thanks for ur help lads (N)
-
ali how wide are they and whats the weight of them like?
the problem is i dont know the width of the frame brakes!!! but it looks simalir to the pure
-
I'm running a sunn ditch witch at the moment, which is basically a rhino lite without eye-lets, it has taken a fair few heavy landings, and i didn't notice any difference in weight over my D521 which i was running...
Seem to be good rims to go for
yeah iv used a rhino lite in the past and round it to be a good rim took the beatings i gave it, on a par with the d521 not quite as strong but not far off.
does any know if a 521 will be wide enough to fitt the atomz frame?
-
but its not wide enough to fit the frame and have brake which work with out pad bodge.
-
yeah thing is thats wider than id like, id like summit just wide enough to try and keep weight down, would help if i knew the minimum width required for the frame :">
-
try not to grind that lip off as it stops pinch flats make loads of difference as i found on a mavic disc rim i ground was great think it was a f219
-
right im gonna need wider rim than my 519 because my pads wont reach the rim, want summit light, but wide enough to fit in a ztomz frame, looks pretty much the same as a pure, was thinkin about a rhino lite rim, summit around that width if that will fit that is
any sugetions of other rims want summit nice and light remember!
cheers people

my brother broke his arm before and afther 6 weeks he took the plaster off in the bath himself with a knife and then sent him a £40 bill for the plaster, so it probly best to leave it on, you may be able to get a local hospital to remove it for you
