  1. These are brilliant news!!! Can't wait to see the new frame and some amazing videos on it!!!
  2. So buying a set of organic or sintered would not make a difference in the bite of the brake.... I will try the method you discribed above and see if it works for me. Thanks anyway However I still can't rely on my brake.Yesterday I had a ride and used the front only a little as it felt spongy and irreliable. While returning home I was pushing the lever the whole time to ''help'' the disk get hot and bed in but the brake continue to lack power and bite even today. I'm really dissapointed...
  3. Ok so the resin pads are the problem! Many thanks I'll get a pair of organic or sintered! How about these Pads I think I should go with the red ones?
  4. Yes,I tried aligning the caliper again so that the pads hit the rotor parallel and not with an angle but the brake keeps not performing as good as before. Even if I get the pads tight enough on the rotor with an allen key (I do this to keep the caliper to the right angle and tighten the caliper bolts on the adapter) the wheel keeps moving if I use enough power.Should this happen? And if that helps the new pads are the Shimano M08 Resin Pads
  5. Yep I have cleaned the rotor with hot soapy water. As for the pads...I couldn't find the original that Onza uses so I got a Shimano set as they are the same size... I will try and see if it works. Many thanks
  6. Hello. I'm using a mechanical disk brake on the front (Onza Dual-Pull Mechanical) After the contamination of my pads I decided to buy new ones.So I bought some Shimano Diore pads that are the same size as the contaminated set. I installed them but the braking power seems to remain low compared to the power I had before the contamination. So...am I doing something wrong?Or the pads needs some ''burn-in'' time and if yes how much time is that? I followed the instructions at the wiki about how to re-setup my brake but nothing seems to work. The brake feels spongy and it won't stop me if I do a gap to front. It only slow me down. Every advice appreciated. Please help. Thanks
  7. I put my pads on the oven and waited until smoke comes off them and then repeated and repeated again... Also cleaned the rotor with degreaser and soapy water. When I fully biult the brake up and had a ride on the bike, I noticed that the loud noise stopped (I think this is good) but it seems that I have not the braking power that I had before this ''accident''.The brake feels a little spongy and it will not stop me if I go gapping to front... However it helped a little. Now it may be just that I haven't setup the brake correctly or so...I noticed that one of the two pads is worn in an angle.(but I had much more power with the worn pad before so it's not this that causes the brake to continue slipping...)
  8. !!!Many thanks!!!I will try it!!!
  9. I tried everything you told me, but unfortunately nothing worked...maybe the oil leaked on the pads was too much... So..I think I need new pads... Do you know if I can find pads for the Onza Dual-Pull mechanical disk brake?(It is the one attached to the newer models).(I made a topic at the wanted section too but until now no replies) And if I can't...for how much can I buy a second-hand Avid BB7?I have heard that it's a good brake if compared with the right lever. Many thanks
  10. Thanks!I think I will try it and see!
  11. Hello to everyone. Yesterday, while I was bleeding my rear Magura brake, accidentaly some of the oil (magura royal blood) leaked from the lever to my front disk brake. One whole day has passed but my disk brake continues to slip and it makes a loud noise like the rear.I tried to clean it, especially the rotor and the pads but nothing worked. Any ideas? What can I do for it? Many thanks
  12. Thanks. I will try re-bleeding it.(and yes I'm syringe bleeding it) By the way, I have Tensile offset mounts, so I can setup my brakes either too close or too far from the rim.(so I must use TPA to adjust them) Thanks for your help.
  13. Thanks for the replies guys you help me a lot. I use oil in my brake (Magura Royal Blood) so I don't think that water is an issue. I tried lubricating the lazy piston but it didn't actualy worked. So maybe there is a problem inside the cylinder... Something else that I noticed is that the pad tends not to move only when I have that TPA tightened (I mean screwed so the brake pads are close to the rims) If I loosen it then after the braking the brake pads move back to their positions normaly (but I haven't much brake power and I must push the lever to much)
  14. Hello. I'm not disatisfied from my brake performance but I wonder if this is right: I'm currently running a Magura HS33 setup on my bike and have noticed that: When I push the lever, only one of the two brake pads are moving towards the rim enough to say that it ''hits'' it's like the other one stays still or move a little compared to the other. I have setup my brakes a few times and I also noticed that after I brake the one pad stays closer to the rim and the other move back to where it was before braking. So...is this a problem? Is this what you call ''lazy piston''? I have bled my brake last week so I don't think that rebleeding it will work. Setup it again is not going to help either as I achieved a very good setup the last time:both brake pads hit (in that case the one brake pad hit the other just get in contact with the rim because the rim is forced against it) the rim in a great angle. Please tell me if that's common or it's a problem and what should I do to enchance my brake's performance. Thanks for your time.
  15. Amazing!!!You have improved so much from your previous video!!! Congratulations!Really enjoyed it!
  16. Really nice video!!! Looks so much fun!!!
  17. Absolutely amazing!I like the colour scheme!
  18. One of the best mods I have ever seen! What about the bashring? Is it something new?Pro Series maybe?
  19. I am not sure about the bottom bracket. If you want to use ffw you need a normal screw-on spocket on the rear (12T is the most common) and of course cranks with threads to lock your freewheel on. Be careful with the bb as some setups won't let you use a freewheel on the front. Ask tarty for sure
  20. Yes I think I will find what suites me with time...I will keep practising!
  21. Thanks for the replies guys. Yesterday I managed to do a 75cm sidehop over a rope and it seems that I can go over 60cm easier than before. The strange thing is that I don't dare to try on a 70cm wall as it seems too high compared to the rope (this actualy is all in my mind but it's really a problem) I have also noticed that when I try on an object I tend to put some off my power forwards so I do a move that sends me and the bike not only upwords but forwards too(it's something like a pedalhop-sidehop thing).I believe I can overcome this with practice though. One last this is that I haven't realised yet how far from the object (or the rope) must I be to achieve maximum height. Some local bmx riders that have seen my sidehop told me that If I go closer to the wall (or rope) I can clear it easier...
  22. Thanks for all you replies! You really help me! I will keep practising and maybe capture and upload a video so you can see me on the move. Thanks for everything!
  23. Yes I will have this in mind.I just thought that 60-70cm is enough and it's like I can't push this limit any further...And I wondered why?I have noone to show me the ''right'' sidehop in my town so it's more difficult.I will keep practising on this. Thanks
