  1. The music is good. I dont think the camera has enough fps for the slow motion though. That frame looks really nice though. What is it? Looks like its 1 formed tube?
  2. I kind of like the cross bracing look... :$
  3. That second picture looks like such a sketchy place to land. How did you manage to not dent the rim? Or is there a bigger rock I cant see?
  4. Thats an awsome pic. Did you use a filter or is it photoshop?
  5. Thats an amazing video. Real profesional feel to it. You guys are lucky to have so much natural riding.
  6. Nice riding. I quite like the sound track what is it?
  7. I need to build a new front wheel and cant decide what rim to go for. I use a front disc so was thinking of a disc specific rim like the Mavic XM 317 or if I can justify it a XM917. Anyone got any thoughts on what is a good light front rim? That also isnt too fragile?
  8. How did you manage to go through so many shells?!? Kings are a hell of a lot more though and I dont have that kind of cash lying around. The good thing about hope is that they are UK based so there is a lot of second hand kit for sale.
  9. Was thinking of getting new rear hub and the pro2 trials looks good. 48 engagments, not too heavy. Its used on DH bikes so it pretty strong. What do people think about it? Anyone got one have any good / bad things about it?
  10. Thats wierd cos Ive used them for ages even on a downhill rig with no probs.
  11. OK Thanks a lot Tomm, I think I might get a set of rigids then and maybe some short travel sus if I can aford it to use for streets stuff and just swap them over. Hey Tomm do you have any idea how the woodman elite holds up as a trials frame? Was considering it but not so sure now?
  12. Yeah thats why I took them off my DH rig and put some hope mono 6 on "bling" guess they are generally usless then.. Anyone want to buy them
  13. mxcomps? arent they a bit weak for trials stuff? thought they were more XC suited?
  14. Ive used the FSA pig on my downhill rig for ages with no problems as long as you show it some love everynow and again
  15. I cant believe thats been added
  16. How do Hayes HFX 9 disc brakes hold up for trials stuff. I got an old pair from my Downhill rig and am considering putting them on the trails bike Im building. Ill be getting smaller rotors though as the ones I have are 203mm Any thoughts?
  17. VLC is great. You dont have to faf with anything, and a mate of mine at uni was one of the guys that started it. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
  18. The base looks nice but can it handle sus? Also what does the length of the chain stay do? woodman 400mm base 385mm? and what does the wheelbase change in handling? woodman 1054mm base 1025mm
  19. Can you suggest any frames that are primarily for trials but can handle suspension on the front? Was looking at a woodman elite??
  20. Great video mate. Liking the red rims
  21. Was wondering what the differences between a street/dirt frame and a stock trials frame were as to geometry etc. All I can make out from pics is that trials frames are much shorter but maybe thats just how they look on the picutres as Ive never seen any side by side. Was going to get a stock trials bike but I think I might fancy something that has front suspension and can do street and maybe some dirt stuff as well. Anyone got any ideas for a frame and setup? Thanks
  22. Thanks Clarkey. That looks really helpful. ill have a look at all the links and bikes you suggested. James
  23. Hi, I live in london and usually ride a lot of downhill or XC but having to travel for miles to get out of london is starting to wear on me. Some friends of mine used to do street /trials and that kind of thing when I was at uni and it looked really fun. I dont really know anything about trials though: frames, wheels 20' 24' 26', makes etc... Can you point me in the right direction to start looking for a bike and maybe some beginners makes /models. Got about £100-£200 to spend on a second hard rig but then again I have no idea what that will buy me. Im quite tall 6'4" and weigh about 14.5 stone. Any help would be great. Also are there any good online shops that sell trials stuff? Thanks James
  24. so is a 20' better to learn on than a 26'? I am looking to get my first bike to do trials and streets trails stuff and dont really know much about trails generally. Still trying to figure a lot of stuff out. sorry if its a stupid question.
