  1. It looks heavy, what does it weigh? Ben.
  2. Grind your rim; Mark your rim with a felt pen both sides in a random place, this saves always starting and finishing in the same place and wearing out the overlap when you grind repeatedly. Place your wheel on a small bucket to support it. I also sit down. Be confident, hold the wheel pressing down on the axle point, stroke the grinder across the breaking surface so it makes lines at right angles to it. Try to keep the angle of the grinder constant. Rotate the wheel on the bucket to grind a new area each time you can’t make a comfortable stroke with it. Keep the wire out of the way and wear eye protection. Ben.
  3. Mark, I think you will find I have made the point about carrying a spare as well, usually linked to discussions about profiles/kings and ease of repair at a comp. Its easy to carry a spare crank and free wheel - so carry it, along with all other things its possible to carry and change in a comp. I first fitted a 108.9 in june last year. Since then I have had two new complete Bikes and switched parts onto frame I'm riding at the mo'. After the two euro WBC comps I put on a new 108.9 as a precaution, that makes it 3 108.9's since june. I think I spend more time riding than most, I ride when ever and where ever I want on any day I choose and I take full advantage of it, so my drive train gets trashed through use. I can spec White industry on my bikes and get them for free if I want, but I prefer the 108.9. I find the quick pick up an advantage. When I ride comps my goal is to win and I use the parts that suit me best to help me do that. Ben.
  4. Factory said; Dear importers, As you probably know it the Hydroxx is coming very soon (last two weeks of March). The geometry will be 350 for the rear base, + 45 for the BB and two lengths, 990 and 1020. The public price will be 1699 € for the complete bike with a rear HS33 and 1749 € in full Louise version. We will put the bike on the back office at the beginning of March to permit you to anticipate and maybe get it at the Koxx Days ? Let's find some pics below... Enjoy ! Vincent Hermance KoxxTrial Ben.
  5. Why go home in one hit? F1's are so cheap. Ben.
  6. Bias? Switched from WI's out of choice, I used to use them all the time, I'm not biased, I use what I think is best for me. Ben.
  7. I would like to mention at this point that I trusted the 108.9 to win the British and World Championship and it comes fitted as standard to the best bike made in France. So far I, Tarty and other dealers have sold many hundreds of 108.9's - 3 have been sent back - nuf said. Ben.
  8. Not sure what the beach has to do with it ...................... But its not the date your born on but the year your born in, I'm sure its in your 15th year, so if your 15 on the last day of December in a particular year - your in. Ben.
  9. Hmm................... Last time I saw you on a mod was at some dodgy comp in London. What are you up to? Ben.
  10. I know the answers to this. You can't get any sort of riding licence without joining a club. For the B-champs you only need a BIU licence this year - nothing else. Ben.
  11. None of the stores mentioned so far stock KOXX complete bikes. Ben.
  12. I’d like to say a big thank you to Fisher outdoor leisure for offering to support me in 2007 with the following products; Muc – off cycle cleaning products. Masterlock cycle security. Maxim energy products. Sram. MET helmets. Sponsorship from companies not immediately associated with Trials is difficult to obtain, I hope they find me of sufficient promotional value to reward their generosity. Many thanks, Ben.
  13. Found a new home with a good friend and fellow KOXX U.K. team member who wanted to try one. You should move north James, we have all the good weather! Winning the lottery helped. Hi Stan, north Wales coast. Ben.

  15. Hey Scott - thats a bit hard on Vaughan! Its true though, most comp riders practice - train - ride (what ever name you want to call it) mostly on their own. Started at 6 - wanted to be World Champion. Ben.
  16. Hi, here's a few shots from today's ride - blue sky's at last - comments welcome! Ben.
  17. Hi, I hear there are some large sea defense rocks along the Norfolk coast that are good to ride, any of you local riders got pics you could post? Ben.
  18. See you all there. Are there any big rocks? Ben.
  19. Wow, really good video James.
