  1. OK, Mr, Wrong, consider yourself corrected, its a combination of the two. If the tyres did not work I would not use them, I don't have to. Ben.
  2. Take a look at the NBTC trials results, both me and Chris Walker use Try-All's front and rear. No problem with grip for us. Ben.
  3. This has probally been said before, but - I find it helps to lay your wheel flat on top of a small bucket. As you grind the the rim bounces on the spokes and gives a deep even pattern. I always try for 90 deg. to the rim. Ben.
  4. Hi, had a lot of mail about red hose, sold out now but I will try to get some more. Ben.
  5. Phil is right about the E111, you need a 2005 version. I have been unlucky enough to end up in a Spanish hospital and the form helps the local medics get your details from the U.K. in they need them. Waynio, when are you leaving? I'm travelling out on Monday morning with Fred, Fletch and James - see you there. Ben.
  6. I have a complete roll of red magura hose. Mail me if you want some. Ben.

Small vid from sunday, visit my site to download. Ben.
  12. Hi Peter, any photographs available of areas where the sections will be? Will the trial be on all rock, or some forest. Ben.
  13. May be in the future, not sure I'm ready for it yet. Its the older team members who have their own frames. They have all had a go at development in the past, so have experience of putting thoughts into mm's and degrees. I have found that growing or putting on weight through training changes my set up, have wait till thats over. Ben.
  14. I've been riding the Kenny for about two months now. It is totally different to a level boss, the build is closer to an XTP. I'm not sure if some have been looking at the photographs of the pre prod. model taken at Koxx days 04 when they complain about the paint job. In reality its an attractive bike, ask those who saw it at the indoor what they thought. Gilles will be riding an XTP long, he already has it. No info yet on what the Coustellier pro model will be like, but it will be to his own design. Ben.
  15. Scotty - the bike in the video is a Kenny full build as it comes out of the box except for the addition of an ENO. I don't know how to "shack" a video but if some one wants to do it then please do so. Ben.
  16. I agree about the fading, I'll try some thing different next time. The other riders stayed by the river crossing, but we found some larger boulders down by the bridge, its a big place and we all got spread out. I tried not to cover the same line twice so I'm not sure why "fairy" finds it repetitive, natural is never repetitive as its almost impossible to ride exactly the same line twice. I plan to get back there for training, its a great place, the rocks are quite slippy so it keeps you sharpe. James has started his training for the 2005, as you can see in the video he was with me and Fletch. James may decide to use the footage to make a 20" version. As soon as we get some sun I'll get some more filming done. I'm looking forward to having a ride with Gilles now he's back with KOXX so there could be some footage of him soon. We will all be together for the week at KOXX DAYS and will make DVD there with the help of our friends from VIDMATT. Ben.
  17. OK, had a go at editing. you can find some footage of saturdays ride up at the lake on my site www.bensavage.co.uk What do think? Ben.
  18. Dean, put some grease on the thread, it will help if you need to get the spro' off in the future. Ben.
  19. Bike+car(steady job) = heaven, but only if you put time in the equation. Take some time, put your bike in your car and drive, ride some new terra. Ben.

    "real" Trials

Real trials? What would the opposite be then, UN – real trials. As far as I am concerned if you are doing it on a trials bike and enjoying it – it’s REAL. I am not into the how high can you side hop, how far can you gap thing, to be honest I don’t know or care what height or distance I can get, but if its in a section then it has to done so I get on with it. I just do my best and I enjoy it when it goes right, “its real”, it’s about doing your best. I have probably ridden more comps than most people in the U.K. in the last two years, mostly BIU but some UCI. I can’t understand why some are trying to force people to choose one or the other – its all trials; the rules when applied in sections are only slightly different. At world level BIU there is little time for a pedal rest or breather so you end up riding “clean” anyway. Don’t be fooled by the “there’s only one way forward” attitude. Both BIU and UCI are there to be enjoyed and if you want you can do both. I don’t ride much street for one reason, I don’t live near any. I have respect for street riders; I enjoy watching street videos – its real trials on urban terrain. I agree with the point made by fairy elephants, well said mate. Ben.
