  1. Some training shots from Tuesday night. Ben HERE.
  2. I'm leaving home for Blackpool in about 30 mins. I think I'm staying close to the sunken garden. I be around that area at about 11.00 on Thursday morning, then moving on down to the rocks. See you there if you can make it. Ben.
  3. Thursday would be the best day to meet because I am not sure what time I arrive on wednesday. Ben.
  4. The new YAABAA frame will probably become very popular, as its a 2004 Level Boss for £250. Ben.
  5. Hi I shall be in Blackpool on Wednesday late afternoon and Thursday - Friday during the day on the North shore rocks. See you there if you can meet up for a ride. Ben.
  6. Sorry, its not normal to ride the sections before a comp, but there will be enough of us up there to have group rides around Fort William. Ben.
  7. Thats a mistake, no licence needed, more info up on monday. Ben.
  8. Thanks for the comments! The European event is interesting as 20 and 26” compete over the same course, in a way it makes it harder to reach the final than at the Worlds as you ride against specialists on both wheel sizes. I took both bikes, but opted to ride a 26” in a comp for the first time this year as there was some tapping to be done. It’s a good feeling to stand on the podium and here the National Anthem - photograph on KOXX site. I hope that the same atmosphere can be enjoyed at the Fort William comp, every section is like a self contained demo with crowds watching. Ben.
  9. I use the TRY ALL unit. Same one since April for comps and practice. It took a while to bed in but works well now. I prefer the lever position/set up compared to other makes. Ben.
  10. Hmm? He's not told me, I'd best have a word with him, he's getting a bit old for trials. Ben.
  11. Don't forget theres a trial in Fort William in september. Ben.
  12. Mail me, I'll send you a photograph. Ben.
  13. Joe get your facts right before you start putting names on the forum. As far as selection is concerned as BIU Elite riders me and James are automatic. Ben.

    Edinburgh Show.

Well.......... The demo's were about 20 mins long with a small ammount of time spent over people and with out wheel. I have been riding in demo's since I was 10 and I know the activities above always get the people clapping. Demos are about entertainment, more people watched each demo than the total number of spectators added together at all the British rounds in any one year. It worked for us and I expect it will work again for others. Ben.

That was the idea, most of the people there knew what sheep dog trials were, but nothing about bikes. We tried to make it fun. Ben.

Spent last weekend at the Edinburgh Royal Show with Matt Scriven promoting the Fort William World Cup through a trials demo. Some photographs can be seen on the U.K. gallery www.koxx.fr Ben.
  18. The official word is; Available in time for Christmas, price not set yet. It is a KOXX frame badged by Scorpa, KOXX may loan Caisso to Scorpa to promote it. Ben.
  19. Questions questions...... I ride a LB short. The surfaces at Porthcawl are so rough its hard the get a run up on a 20" so it almost always has to be a side hop. James Hyland is our XTP rider, I ride a mix of 20 and 26" so I stick with the Level Boss, its what I'm supported on. Have to confess I struggle on music choice, may go old school in the future Ben.
  20. New footage from last Sunday on BenSavage.co.uk
  21. I get 6 months hard use out of a pair of TRY ALLS, a lot longer than I used to get out of "Spanish" shoes. Ben.

    New Frame

If you want the same quality get a 1040. Ben.
  23. All the details can be found on the Biketrial uk.co.uk site. If you dont want to ride but want to help out with observing then camping is free and you get to stay in the same area as all the riders, its usually good watching them practice. Ben.
