Once the site is clear you could try the sections or visit the site another time. Ben.

Why not get the most reliable trials frame ever - a Level Boss 1065.

The S6XX tubeset is better quality than the Yaabaa, it also has bash plate mounts. I have an ex display S6XX for sale from the bike show - never built or ridden, pm me if you want a price. Ben.

I've said this before, but incase you missed it the DVD is about an hour long with footage from all of the KOXX DAYS activities. Andrew, you may have watched what we filmed but you've not seen this DVD. I've had good comments from those that have it already. Ben.

The photograph is 4 -5 years old, it was in the Times newspaper when the helmet was produced as a concept. I think that the millitary showed interested in them. Ben.

Stephen, may be you should wait until youve seen it before you comment. I helped with the editing, I tried to make sure the it would be good from a riders point of view. Ive watched the videos you listed and they were ok when they were made but things have moved on. Whats your web site about??? Ben.

Its me that runs Trialsman, not Fred. Ben.

I’d like to point out some facts about UCI trials. There are no officially authorised UCI trials held in the U.K. at the moment. If you wish to enter a UCI comp you have to go to Europe, that’s expensive, so I expect that those that go try to get the best result they can. If you make the effort to go, get those dabs in. The UCI rules encourage you to take deliberate dabs, BIU does not. It’s simple to understand if you look at how UCI works. If you attempt a side hop in UCI and don’t quite make it to two wheels and part of your bike touches the section you lose marks, 1 mark for each scrape, if you have to put your foot down after the bike has touched you lose another mark. BUT if you get your foot in first, bike or pedal scraping does not count while your foot is on the floor, UCI riders take deliberate dabs to avoid the extra marks they may get by going to pedal or bash, simple as that. I like to ride to two wheels if I can, it’s quicker. The benefit of BIU rules is it lets you really test your self, you can try to go to two wheels but if you don’t quite make it and your pedal touches its not a disaster as you don’ lose a mark and there’s always next lap to try again. Take it from me if you want to win, or do well in either BIU or UCI World comps practice taking deliberate dabs, you will need them. Ben.

More on the subject. When I started sometimes there would be less than 20 riders at a comp, people would be on BMX bikes and Cross Country bikes with SPD’s and there was only one club in the U.K. Trials have changed slowly over the years to become what they are now, more clubs in more areas, all offering good events. These events are run by people who do it for free, so you can come and have a good time with like minded people if you want. I enjoy competitions – win or lose, for me its about doing the best I can on the day. The one thing that annoys me are people that complain about the events they ride in but do nothing to help themselves. It has been implied is this topic that U.K. club events are crap, the thing is they are the best we have so make the most of them, complain without offering to help and the hard working organisers will get tired of it all and give up. It was interesting to note Wesley’s comments on Sundays trial, he thought that the organisation, sections and standard of riding was very high compared to some events in Europe, although the parking was often easier. Ben.

Well to have an argument there has to some doubt and there was no doubt who posted the lowest score in a club trial on Sunday - guess what, not me, but its only a bit of fun Aust - a club trial. If you expect people you like or people you dont to win every time out you will be disappointed. What I suggest you do is to concentrate more on your own performance. Ben.
-
Tom, do you mean the organisers or the competitors? Ben.
-
Ah I see, when this topic is about club trials in the U.K. Ben.
-
Tom, can you tell us what level of insurance competitors have at your events? Ben.
-
Where was the trial that British Cycling organised - It must have slipped my attention Ben.
-
Well if you want to see it now, you know where to get it. Ben.

I'm a bit worried about posting prices and pointing forum users to sites with shops etc. due to the new forum rules, moderators - is it OK to post the price? The DVD is produced by KOXX U.K. and not KOXX. FR so it won't be on their site. It shows the street ride, speed trial and the comp. *I expect there will be a BMX DVD in the future, pretty good riding from Stephan at the show - he won every race, and Shanaze had wins in the USA over the weekend. (*sorry - this is not sarcasm).
-
The DVD is about an hour long, its for sale. Ben.

Don’t forget there will be a British Championship event held at the same venue, it’s a good chance to get a feel for the place if you are doing the Brits. I have entered and will be riding with Wesley Belaey, who is staying with us this week. Ben.

I have finished the first batch of KOXX DAYS 2005 DVD’s. Hard drive failed on my computer two days before the bike show, so I could not get it done in time for that. There is a little bit of swearing that slipped by on the editing, so be prepared, I will edit this out on future editions. It’s about an hour long and shows most of the week’s activities. Mail me for prices. Ben.

OK, facts on the situation; 20" bike is intended for small riders, 10 years old for example, it has a 20" rim front and rear. It is very light, it will retail for less than the LEVEL BOSS. Available in 60 - 90 days. 26" inch bike may never reach production, KOXX are always testing new designs. Ben. P.S. see you at the show, we have a good line up this year, should be good with the Monty boys coming.

Anyhoo, does anyone know if Cleanbikes are going to be at the show? Or anyone selling Koxx products? I'm guessing NSE might be, but I didn't know the state of play... Mark ←
