  1. You're bank is your best as they know what you can afford, they know all your figures, and will probably be the only people that will dish you out a loan in the current climate. If they wont give you one I doubt any other company would take a punt on you.
  2. Looks like an awsome little practice spot you got there. Good riding too. Good work!
  3. After looking at pictures and listening to a few mates tell me about the place its sounds mint! I just wondered if you can ride there all year round? Who owns it? It looks such an amazing place to ride with a mix of natty and man made sections. Is there going to be anymore comps there this year?
  4. Have a look at these for some ideas, http://www.biketrial-spain.com/SabadellbikeparkE.html Good luck with trying to pull it off
  5. Agreed. Does anyone ride one on here? Always wanted one of those badboys.
  6. Looks like a wicked spot! Where abouts is Lee Mill Quarry?
  7. Basically i need to regain some steerer length on my forks. Because my Simtra frame has quite a long steerer tube, when i changed from my zoo frame i found that it reduced the amount of steerer that stood proud of the headset when built up. Most second hand forks have been cut down so im finding it hard to get some long enough to solve this problem without buying brand new ones. So does anyone know of a low profile headset that will reduce the total length of my steerer tube and giving me a bit more steerer to clamp to? Reason being is that i need to fit a higher stem but they all seem to have oversided clamps which i cant safely clamp to at the moment. Cheers Rob.
  8. I have had exactly the same problem, it turned out to be the new chain riding up on the old worn sprocket It might wear in after a few rides, if not just change the sprocket, should do the job!
  9. I run a BB5 and that will easily pull your head off if adjusted right its stupidly sharp I assume a BB7 is much the same. Excellent brake for the money. Much better than my mates Hope.
  10. After being validated I thought I'd post a picture of mine. Simtra St1 Raceface headset Raceface stem Zoo risers Unbranded forks Unbranded front wheel Hope/Tryall rear Wheel Trialtech BB Middleburn super pro Rholoff tensioner Avid bb5 Rear HS33 Your comments welcome.
  11. Just fit the spacers behind the the booster but on top of your maggy mounts, its a bit fiddly but relativly easy. Best way to do it is put the top bolts through the booster, then put the spacers on and put them through the mounts then slip the bottom ones in . Hope this aids you?
  12. What do you guys weigh in at? Got bored yesterday and weighed my bike. Spec: Simtra St1 Frame Unbranded Forks Unbranded front wheel Hope Xc on Tryall rear - highroller tyres Middleburn super pro Trialtech BB Raceface Headset and stem Zoo bars Front BB5 and rear magura It came in at 11.7kgs Just wondered in comparison to other rides how heavy it is.
  13. Need a new back tyre, just wondered where the best/cheapest place to get one from? Im loooking along the lines of maxxis highroller and minion. Any suggestions?
  14. Update: I've put my old zoo risers back on and it feels a little better, Im still struggling to find some forks with a long enough steerer. What size steerer do forks come with new? Mine's obviously been cut and is 180mm and still comes up too short to be able to fit most trials specific stems with oversize steerer clamps safeley. The only other option is to find a more kicked stem with a shallower steerer clamp.... Any ideas??
  15. Cant, I need to get some new forks first because the steerer is too short for this frame It currently only come halfway up the stem. I'm in the process of buying some meta forks so i can run a kicked up stem. might chuck a few stackers under it then and see how it feels.
  16. Think you're right on the forks, I think they're just some random ones. I do have some old Zoo bars but they make no difference to the hight or angle of the front, The way I have my Echos tilted up is very simialr to the way the Zoo's are when on. What angle stems should i be looking at do you think?
  17. Well heres my new Simtra sat against this pillar due to me blowing up my rear hub on a ride in bristol last week. I'm just after some opinions on a couple of things, firstly... what forks work well with this frame and what stem and bar combo i should go for? Currently im running some unknown forks and a pretty flat RaceFace XC stem with Echo flat bars. But im looking to raise my front end up a little, so what do you guys recommend?
  18. My Simtra St1 Not a great picture. (if it works)
  19. Do you have an E-mail address i can get you on regarding something? Cheers, Rob. Rob1mitch@yahoo.co.uk
  20. Hi all, So my shimano silent clutch finally gave up on me yesterday riding in Bristol, Just wondered if the Hope Bulb hub was a reliable replacement or should i just bite the bullet and go for a Pro2 trials. Theres £50 difference between the two and at this time of the year money is a bit thin on the ground Would a bulb cope with the job do you reckon? Thanks in advance, Rob
  21. I have a new simtra frame, I'm runnig a pretty flat rise raceface xc stem with echo flats and im not having too much trouble with it. In fact it feels a lot better than my old pitbull frame. However, I am going to try a more kicked up stem and go back to my riser bars to make it feel even better. Try a few set ups before giving up, changing your stem and bar geo will have a massive effect on the feel of your bike. Its all trial and error! Rob.
