Cheers haha. yer haha I orderd some Cousts from him two and a bit weeks before christmas. You would have thought he would have sent them in that time but he obviously didn't. So I got them two weeks after christmas.. That wasnt helpful when i really needed some new pads haha.

I have been on three different bikes that have had the CRM's on a smooth and grind. They were all pretty rubbish. Iv'e got the LGM's on a smooth and they are insane! Heatsink Yellows are supposed to be a very good pad to use on a dead grind. Or you could sand your sidewalls down with wet and dry sandpaper. How did you get the link to the CRM's? tarty ahve taken them off the website.

Pads that are good for a smooth rim: Phat pads Heatsink Yellows and Snowies Tnn Lgm's Heatsink Cousts If you can get hold of some, this could be quite hard. But the famous Heatsink Reds. Or as reveolver has just said, grind your rim for the best performance.

You would be better off getting a stock. You may start to get back pains if you ride mod. You measue from the center of the axle to the center of the front axel, this is how you fine the length (or wheelbase) of a bike.

Why don't you add £20 to your budget if your getting some new cranks and get some adamant or deng canks off Selectbikes.com Select are having a big sale at the moment.

It depends what kinda of riding you do, and what weather you ride in. I Hardly ever ride in wet, and only ride street. If you ride street alot they're very good, they feel more bouncy compared to tyres with tread and more of the tyre is in contact with the ground when you are on the back wheel. Ive been using a slick Maxxis Creepy Crawler on the rear for a bout a year and a half now. They're awsome! Edit: The reason why any Well known tyre manufacturers don't produce slick tyres is because there isn't a high enough demand for them. Unless they are called Try-All

Wank for smooth. Go for the TNN's, they're beastly. But then again so are phat pads

I'm not Sure on how long the wear rate is as i've only had them for about 3 weeks, but they work so well on a smooth. They have got a really nice feeling bite and the hold is insane.

I used Heatsink CNC Cousts for a year on a smooth, theyre pretty good. But now i've swapped to TNN LGM's and oh my god they are insane compared to the Cousts. The CNC backings do make a difference, they make your brake noticeably stiffer if you have the pads set up to the rim perfectly square. For fitting, the Heatsink backings are fine, you just take the pad material out of the current backigns you have got and glue the material into the CNC backings, on the Heatsink website there is a pad fitting guide. Either the Heatsink snowies or yellows (apparently both the same compound just different colours?) are both very good on a smooth, so are the LGM's.

The rings were on the old Ice frames aswell as the Ice 2's. They look like very nice frames and I'm investing in one nearer to crhistmas
