already got it on watching the 250s

got some pics of my bike, bit arty(ish) lol though a question if i wanted to say upgrade my current bike what should i look at upgrading??? pictures- The Bike- Vertical- All 8gears oh and this is where i had a crack, now all covered over and dealt with- The crack not to sure if you can see it in this picture but it gives an idea-

as far as i know 2finger braking is fine. i have always used two finger braking. i may be mistaken but i am sure its fine

my uncle already races well used to race anyway soo hes got about enough spares for 10grasstrack bikes and 2sidecars in his garage so we are free to take the stuff that we need if he doesn't need them anymore. we pretty much have all the parts that we need just little bits like fuel lines and throttles stuff like that were looking for at the moment. mate speedway is nothing compared to grasstrack, i mean its down to preference as to which you prefer but with grasstrack when you have got a track 1000m long and the solos are doing 110mph down the straight (baring in mind they don't have brakes) and hitting the corners doing about 70mph i no which one i prefer

along with riding bikes i also ride motorbikes when i can. im currently building a formula grasstrack bike and a couple more grasstrack bikes. 125cc 4stroke-honda 350cc-Jawa 500cc-Jawa hopefully be racing either the 125 or 350 by summer time sooo plenty of work to do some pictures of the 350- when the bikes first came After a bit of work how it stands at the moment and for those of you that aren't familiar with grasstrack it goes a bit like this- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E047JzkbzjE

the crack was along the back part of the frame going towards the gear block have got some pictures of it somewhere. dad fixed it up and reinforced the frame with extra metal and got the crack welded up sooo shuldnt snap again. cheers urrmmmmm think i have asked all the questions i need to so far, think of anymore ill fire them away

it is up there somewhere but ill get across the details anyway. i am currently riding a Saracen Mad 6 Trials Bike. the frame has recently been reinforced after a slight scare with a crack in the frame but its working again. totally standard at the moment, looking at upgrading it in the near future though. will get some picks of the bike in its current state soon.

is there any areas in birmingham that people ride trials? i have seen people about on trials bikes. but where abouts do people take them. any ideas?

this may be a stupid question :$ but what is a mod? and what is a stock? I've seen it a lot around the site

urmmmm personally i would just get a cheap or easy first trials bike. if you have just been using a modified mountain bike to be honest you need to get used to feel of a trials bike. though i would agree that zoo is a good area to start maybe onza??? but again if i was to choose from your options i would go with echo

what do people prefer? a bike with 26" or 20" just a question really i am a fairly tall person and can only see myself riding 26". but do some of the taller people prefer 20" bikes? maybe its just personal preference

also currently on the saracen iv got normal v-brakes (not hydraulic) would it be better to have hydraulic brakes? and would it be better to have disks or normal pads? another question is currently this bike does have gears. if i was to get anothr bike would it be better if it was just a single gear no actualy gears?? some noobie questions sorry

i just joined on the forum. was directed to this site the other day whilst we were having some work done in our house i have a trials bike but have never really got round to learning the art of trials, i ride it around but have never really grasped how to ride trials. thought id join on here take a look see what everyone else is upto. any advice on how to learn trials? or is it just a matter of practice??? cheers dan
