  1. Easy Guys,

  2. These days, I think you gotta have stuff on your CV like first aid skills, people skills, teamwork skills all shown, if not, they possibly won't even consider your application.

Also, in this current economic situation, I believe there are a fair few people considering jobs like this - Police/Fire Service etc.....so Loads of applications.

Two of my cousins applied to the same Fire Service job.....one has lots of first aid courses, nursing courses, cadets etc etc, and she works in fire service 'control', and she got invited to try out for the job etc. Other cousin has very little on his CV and they just put it aside, and didn't even bother with it.

Oh, and there were 12 positions and 6,500 applicants.

Well im a trained first aider, corperal in the army cadets ect so hopefully that will help me out a bit. i'm just looking to see if i could get some input from an officer in a more casual way.

    Peace

  3. and when the f**k have you ever seen my balls??

I very much doubt it when you considered the amount of dedicated time is required for even a basic street officer. mind you, i know of an investigating officer named james white whom occasionally rides the green mile flatland spot in london.

Thank you for an actual reply to the topic. I just thoght i'd ask just in case there was.

    Peace

  4. Hey Guys thanks for the replys and keep them comming (Y)

However i'm looking for more answers on the phycological side.

what give us the urge to constantly push the bonderies and our own personal limits to the extent we cause ourselves physical pain?

Again any input will be appreciated.

    Peace

  5. Easy Guys,

Basically as the title says, i'm looking for an insight it to why people like us do the sports we do.

What makes us go for sports higher up the risk scale that others.

I'm just looking for an insight as to why we push ourselves just that little bit further.

This isn't just for trials but about any sport you do which has a higher danger element than others.

    Cheers for any input guys

    Peace
