  1. Just back in Ireland. Had an awesome time lads! :D Some absolutely beasty riding! Cheers to Rob and Jambo for putting us up on Friday night! Also thanks to Jambo for the headache on Saturday morning!

Hope Stirling was good. The weather was shit in Edinburgh. Went to Garibaldys Saturday night in Edinburgh. Was a good laugh. Didn't get much riding done in Edinburgh as my rear hub decided to shit itself! :( I doubt there is one bearing left in it!

Thanks again lads for the weekend! Some cool lines by all. It was really good to meet ye and if ye are ever in Ireland, let me know. (Y)

    Cheers,

    Steve

  2. There would have to be two little blocks of aluminum brazed on also the the holes for the threaded bolts drilled in them. (two for each side). You then braze on the "braze mounts." These really only accept the magura mounts and keep them off the frame. To be honest it's a fair bit of hassle to use braze on mounts.

  3. You can strip the lever right down and clean it out, but the slaves all you can do is blow through them with a tube really.

What I found was that after a few rides, the oil left in there rose to the top of the brake, in the lever, so you can simply undo both bleed bolts, attach the syringe to the slaves and blow it all out.

For best results, do a bucket bleed.

    Cheers Muel. I'll try that.

  4. Cheers for the replies. Hmmm, I might go for water as it's free and readily available. How difficult is it to go from an oil bleed to water bleed? What's the best way to get all the oil out? Undo bleed bolts and attach bike pump at slaves and let the air pump it out???

    Cheers,

    Steve

  5. Right, I need to bleed my brakes and I am using oil. I can't be bothered to order Magura Blood from the UK so I'm wondering what are the alternative oils. What brands of mineral oil are there? Has anyone tried paraffin oil? I've also heard that LHM oil is good. Any help appreciated. Cheers,

    Steve

EDIT Now going to try a water bleed :D

  6. Irish Tricolour does it for me! :D The two different colours for "Technical" and "Science" stand out more and are easy to read IMO. You need something easily read so even if people only glance at it, they will know what it says. My penny's worth anyway.

  7. Ex text me today telling me she still wanted to be friends, then I text her back a 3 page message and she replied saying "i know" so i said "theres not a lot i can say to that so when you feel like talking again you know where i am. take care" she replied with "but" then "i felt like talking now" then i still didnt reply and she replied with "hm"

I don't wanna play hard to get, but if she wants to talk she needs to put in a bit of effort to be able to make conversatoin.

Basically she's had 4 days of me not talking to her and it's hit her like a sack of bricks so she wants to be mates again. We'll see...

Something similar when me and my ex broke up. We did stay mates, and do chat now and again. Though, her being in Mexico for the last 6 months didn’t help things….

On topic, basicly Jon, if she texts, reply. But I’m not going to say whether you initiate the texting. It sounds like you want her back, as I did with me ex. If ye can still stay mates that’s good, if it goes back to old times, It’s a bonus! See how it goes.

  8. Right, I'm looking to improve my upper body strength and maybe bulk up a little bit as well. I’m 5’9” and weigh just over eleven stone (if that helps). I play Gaelic Hurling and do trials. Hurling training twice a week (hour and a half to two hours) and a match every ten days. Trials probably two or three times a week depending on weather and work. Probably going to start this new regime when I go back to uni. Any tips on what I can do to improve upper body and general muscle mass? Tips on gym routines and diet etc would be much appreciated! Cheers,

    Steve

  9. Right the updatedness for people who give a toss.

Cumbernauld ride friday night, old men may have delayed reactions when telling you to f**k off. Apparently this is Danny Macaskills new amazing place to ride. I agree.

Glasgow Saturday. Start in the East End in D-town, pregnant woman may be chain smoking, and work our way, way out west stopping at differnet spots to ride and to eye up the tallent in the city centre if its sunny. Finnish in West End round about where the stone fanny is. Man I love that rock. and I better see one of you big hitters blasting up the monstrosity of a growler.

Saturday night??? Who knows where the night will take us.

Sunday, head up to Stirling to ride some Au Natural in Cambusbarron Quarry. Theres enough to keep everyone happy all day. Maybe even try riding street there too in the centre, theres bits and bobs.

There will be Photographers out aswell so please make them feel comfortable. Or youll be answering to me. :shades:

See you all soon. If you need to contact me just pm me for my mobile number.

Ps. Edinburugh is gash boys so dont even bother. Just now with the festival there is just too many people and police to contend with, plus the fact theres nothing to ride. :glare:

Anyway I better get back to preventing tiliban shit faces doing bad things to my ship. :cool2:

Sounds mint Ross! Looks like it will be really good fun! :D Really looking forward to it now! Talk soon,

    Steve
