  1. Sorry to be hijacking this topic! :$ I just ordered 2GB of RAM from crucial. I plan on taking out my 521MB and putting in the two 1GB's. Is it as simple as plugging them in or do I have to run BIOS or something??? Any advice would be welcome! Thanks,

  2. Here's a pic of the bodged pad trick.

I ran this for about two or three weeks while I was waiting for my Echo rim. ( Had been running a D521 on my Echo Pure). I didn't bother me using this for a while as I can't exactly do gaps and such yet. But still, a psycholist says, you are better getting a wider rim. (Y)

  3. Right guys, flights are booked. We'll be arriving Friday August 29th in Glasgow and departing Tues 2nd of September, also from Glasgow Prestwck. So if Rob still has space on his floor then we'll stay in Glasgow friday night, ride Glasgow Saturday. Saturday evening we'll be getting the train to Edinburgh and maybe out in Edinburgh Saturday night (also happening to catch the end of the Edinburgh festival! :D ) and ride Edinburgh on Sunday. My cousin lives in Edinburgh so we'll be crashing at his place. And we can arse about Monday evening if there are any locals free! How does that sound?

  4. Possible?

    Meh - google :)

Portforwarding is the job......when/if you can get it working. Before changing any of your router/IP settings make sure to write your current settings down. Took me a lot of trial and error to get it right.

EDIT: You also need to set up a static IP address

  5. okay the pic you were after is not coming because ive tryed all you advice and still can't sort this frikin thing out so il try and explain.

what it is, is the normal bolts don't fit because the bolts that come with the evo mounts are to small so what i had were these huge bolts to attach to the frame and then the normall bolts could go inside the huge bolts and those huge bolts don't come with the evo mounts and thats what has threaded.

I think I have an idea what you're on about now. What size are the bolt holes in your frame? Have a look at my drawing I did. Is it something like that? If not, edit it and stick it back up.

EDIT: just thought of why the pic mightn't be working. There is a file size limit of 1MB so if the pic is bigger than that, it won't upload.

Click the reply button. Type your message. Underneath were you type your message there is the Attachments option. Click Browse, find the pic, upload it. Then click Manage Current Attachments and click the little green +. It should embed the image in your post.

  7. looks smart steve!

I know i've said it allready but if you get a higher set of bars on it'll feel much much better!

How'd you set up the tensioner like that? I allways had to run the chain over the puller rather than under it......

Cheers Jake! :) Yeah, I'm planning on getting new bars alright. Waiting to get paid next week! I've no idea how set it up like that. It keeps getting loose though so I'm going to bodge a kind of bracket to keep it tight!

  8. There are a few riders in Ireland. There are about 3 riders in Cork (including me), 3 or 4 in Dublin and 1 or 2 in Limerick. There is a good few from Northern Ireland as well. There's not a whole load in Donegal to be honest. Probably some nice natural stuff on the coast of Donegal. Best bet is that some of the NI group will answer. Try asking Jakers on here. I'd be up for it if I wasn't working and if Donegal wasn't 6 hours away! :D Sorry I've been absolutely no help!
