  1. I can't f*cking come either now as I have uni stuff! I was really looking forward to that!
  2. You can go tubeless for like £5 with some liquid latex and a 20" tube. Also hoots are you a manager for Evans in Holborn now?
  3. You know I don't live in Bushey anymore yeah?
  4. I know, but if you are going to insist that on the day, it is gonna be thrown back at you!
  5. Only like a 74 kings, the best thing is as the arm pivots and you can slide the clamp up and down the chainstay it is fully adjustable.
  6. You were quoting weight for the reason you got rid of your front brake!
  7. This is the favourite of mine, worked quite well actually. I love bodging things!
  8. I can't beleive you are saying that, you started an argument last time I rode london with you about the weight of someones inspired and started saying how you love your lighter parts as it makes it so much easier to ride. As for the weight thing my old t-rex with a seat weighs the same as my Limey without one, plus I agree that heavier bikes are not neccesarily worse.
  9. Why would you want them? Rim jams were sh*t!
  10. there is no reason to go to isis if you have a decent set of cranks, just make sure you keep it tight! don't get the blade fitted, do it yourself, it is piss easy!
  11. tis the same with you every ride, why should this make any difference?
  12. Don't weld it, get a new one, or live with it!
  13. which trex the old one or the new one?
  14. Get a third party one as magura spares are quite hard to get as they need to come from germany. I think straitline might do something that will fit however they are quite pricey. Alternatively you could just ring magura yourself or get your lbs to order one in!
  15. If I remember rightly those frames were only around £300 when they came out!
  16. agreed also as for the fixed front or rear, if you have already bought the hub, stick to it. Pro 2s are really nice for trials I use one myself, you will not really notice a difference with front freewheels and pro 2s are ultra reliable. I personally prefer more than 48 engagement points but that is cause I started with 108 and I am used to it, it is very unlikely that you would notice especially if you are new to trials.
  17. Didn't mean it that way but I will have to leave that decision up to you!
  18. For £200 you are going to get a sh*t jump bike that will break straight away, go second hand or go for a bmx such as a GT. For a 24/26" jump bike you are looking a minimum £350 for something useable with something good costing upwards of £700 normally. Your best bet for 24" is a saracen amplitude with rigid forks, they ride relatively nicely and are quite cheap (I think around £200 last time I checked). Tell your friend that if they want something to last it is worth the extra money going for this or something similar.
  19. Wrong me, I have a chicksands ride on friday during the day so I am going to be f*cked!
  20. As said get an engineering firm to do it with a lathe
  21. no the older one, but thanks for trying
  22. I told him to a while back and he said to me quite recently that he is going to start using either 4130 or reynolds, to be honest I don't care which but if he uses a stronger metal I may get a new street bike from him.
