This this this and not just because he's Ali f**king C, why does everyone assume price relates to performance! The BB5's i've had will always be my first choice of brake. Rupintart, i'm going from what i was told by my mechanics trainer, the smaller pads in a mechanical system apply more pressure to that area, the larger pads spread the pressure allowing for more modulation. I may be wrong and it seems like you know what your talking about but that seemed to make sense to me at the time.

Although i do not doubt Jamie, I would give tarty bikes a ring before you order anything just to make sure, that is if your ordering from them.

That would help with lifting the front of the bike but not the rear. The first post was the way i tend to do it, toes down and into the pedals. Throwing the front wheel down hard onto an obstacle also gives the rear wheel momentum.

Those of you saying hope without a doubt have either never used a well setup mechanical disk or are just following the crowd. My avid BB5 could and always would out perform any Hope i've ever used, my BB7's had a similar effect. There are so many reasons to use a mechanical over a hydraulic. No possibility of leaks, a huge choice of leavers and cables, the price!!! If you can find someone with a well setup Avid BB7 or preferably a BB5 you will see what i'm talking about. This is from someone who has used both for decent lengths of time on front and rear.

No it doesn't it indicates a strong spring, you can make a hub with very very worn pawls sound as loud as a brand new hub. But the point is as said its just kids who want to be noticed, i'd rather have a quiet Chris king over a loud shimano hub any day.

Or shimano which are probably better for the price... An Avid will be great but theres no point buying the ultimate. Shimano XT, deore or LX all seem to have worked great for me. The LX was acctually better than the XT. Any of the above with an Avid SD7 lever or a Shimano XTR lever will feel great.

I agree with Milo, apart from the performance part. Rupintart saying don't concider a BB5 is completely stupid, i acctually prefer BB5's, the smaller pads have a smaller area so they apply more pressure to the area of the disk they are on, this is better for trials than big pads that apply less pressure, especially if you want disks that will bite and hold like a HS33

I know that one side has a flat spot intentionally lets the hub go in one way, although i'm not sure about the splines.

It happens wuite alot to those who don't often bleed brakes, I had the same issue as you although i was far more adamant that it wasn't the bleed .

Disk would be better for modulation. The brake will be less on or off.

Speakers on a budget, logitech look good but i would like some more idea. 5.1 would be ideal but will go for less if i can get better quality. £50 or close to would be very good. I need help...

I'm running 2 missing spokes in the front wheel not by choice but its been fine for a good long while.

This if you can get a block patern sole like the new Adio's your onto a winner, they're like wearing lock ons but you can acctually escape.
