  1. You forgot the most important bit, the weight saving!
  2. I meant no change in performance, felt normal to ride then boom, face to floor. Luckily i've almost always run steel forks and thy usually bend and flex before they get anywhere near cracking or snapping.

Trialtechs or if your on the cheap you could probably pick up some old Urbans for £40.
  4. I dived straight in brakeless, it takes about 10mins to get used to it, you just end up looking further ahead and i stops you being a wuss. Try it.
  5. Yer, if there not aligned you get issues you like you described, If one sides OK it would be harder to notice aswell.
  6. Trialtech, or if your a real monster basher you could resort to a halo SAS.
  7. Gah if it is him i feel stupid for complementing his English,,,
  8. Everything here except i use heatsink adaptors and a shimano XTR lever.
  9. But the sexy rawness is sexy! Meh black is always a good choice.
  10. He hasn't got them yet and i was giving him advice, I've always had trouble with Wombolts and Twombolts. Sorry your highness.
  11. Yer but that's very much the point, compared to their prices. compared to everyone else they're still expensive. I do agree though, the quality does look worth the money.
  12. Bed seems appealing but sleep just wont happen.

  13. I highly doubt the £70 is just for looks, you'll easily spend that on a Giro, its all to do with how strong / light they are, you can't have both without spending a bit.
  14. Pretty clean snap, looks like there was no warning? Trialtechs seem to be the general consensus so I'd say go for those. As for helmets, spend as much as you can on a decent helmet, Giro make some very nice ones, but if you prefer piss pot style helmets (Like myself.) you can't really go wrong with 661 or fox.
  15. They're fine, not great and not trials specific but they work, I'd rather have a Hope or HS33 on the back though.
  16. If its only left to right movement it will be the bearings not sitting on the axle seats, when you tighten the forks it should press the bearings into the hub further and sort this, if not find some way of pressing them in a little further.
  17. This was to me almost inevitable, I wont dismiss it until i hear reviews on a few that have been used for a while, but this seemed the obvious route.. I hope it turns out I'm wrong I'd love to see this working and from what has been said at least the quality of them is good, i wait to be impressed.
  18. I used a large hiking bag packed out with polystyrene, the bag had straps and ties all around it for adjusting anyway and when these where tightened it was no bigger than the bike would be if in a thin box. Used to do this so i could take my bike on the bus as well as abroad.
  19. I've only heard of this with certain hubs and freewheels, i think it was Eno's but never with a sprocket?
  20. I use some road bike foam grips which seem to match the description Mark used for the Neon ones, They're thick, high density but still squidgy, and they come in 2ft long sections so you decide on the length. Grip wise they're great and very comfy, sweat wise i find they absorb it then it slowly gets squeezed out of the end of them when riding, they've never slipped on me, but then again I've never ridden them in really hot weather.
  21. Amazing to watch all the work and skill in such detail, the end result was pretty as well, truly skilled master at work.
  22. I kinda agree with you there Buzz Killington, i mean yes its skilled but I don't know. They look like there doing it and learnt to do it to compete, not to have fun.
  23. Some of these are jut vicious, i wince every time i see the first one reminds me of a skating bail i had involving a drain.
  24. That's communism for you, hes an amazing rider.
  25. Weld cures everything. The frames and pretty much all the other parts look exceptionally well finished, but then again for the price they bloody well should be.
