  1. i replace spokes here and there on my wheels all the time because sometimes they are too long so i cant true it, it depends how much of the spoke comes through the hole or how close it is just get a spoke of similar length and put it in if you can get the nipple to tighten on it and get tension back then it should be alright. EDIT: if you cant get a nipple on the spoke just loosen some of the others off there would be no need to taotaly rebuild it
  2. peformance in the dry on a smooth rim is amazing with the right set up and anodized sidewalls look way better than a grind imo.

  15. This one: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?pr...category_id=147 I've heard good and bad about these from about 3 people so just wondering what a wider range of people thought. good/bad and why. Thanks, Chris.
  16. Thought that was realy good Mike, you do suit stock more than mod now i think. Good filming too
  17. I overhear people talking all the time about my bike, things like "wow its got a motorbike tyre on the back" and when i was waiting at a train station someone said "what do they do when they need a rest?" so i sat down on the tyre holding the bikestill. minutes later the same person goes "how do you think they ride those contraptions" geting bored of there talk i got up and rode off.
  18. When i got my try all foams they looked like they were never going to fit as ther were about 1mm or so too small, just stretched it over and never moved at all even in wet just dry them off and they were fine, try all along with monty, rockman and french ID are all around 28mm wide so guess they all work as well. Obviously a little more than halfords but i'd say it was well worth it.
  19. Going from the wheel spinning freely to instantly locking = no modulation. A brake that will slow you down, bring you to a stop, lock and bite etc = modulation. Chris.
  20. I got a load of the stuff off roofers, if you ever see them doing a roof or someting just ask or while ther not looking chisel a bit off the tar boiler with an allen key or something not the boiling bit ofcourse just the solid bits on he lip.
  21. I think the washer is there so you can simply loosen the mounts a little and force the slave around on the cylinder washer rather than totaly loosening the mounts. Also they cant be crucial as try all have brought out mounts to be used without the washer anyway.
  22. I have an 06 zoo and my tensions fine (can sometimes even be too tight) the only thing i can think that i may do differently to you is instead of using normal magura 4 bolt mounts i use all the bottom mounts without that cylinder washer thing this may give you an extra 2mm or so adjustability due to there being no lip on the top mounts, not much but works for me.
  23. Are they innertubes in the spokes, if so im guessing thats to help prevent the bike sinking.
  24. Strong bit of pipe and a hammer, the closer the circumference of the pipe is to the circumference of the headset cup the better. Worked for me when all else failed screwdriver etc.
  25. Associated tc4 with fully carbon fibre chassis, titanium drive axles, ball cups and bolts etc super light with lrp quantum 2 esc and some mental low turn motor. soon to be a brushless motor. Will edit with pics when i can. Edit: got a tc3 with custom carbon fibre chassis and an associated buggy that killed both rear wishbones on a 5 ft ramp.
