  1. variable i know but do most run it with no spacers? i have gone from none for some time to about an inch for some. now have gone back to none. i would say none is better for natural/technical trials and an inch or more for street n tricks, would you agree?
  2. make sure that the bolt flange bit is not meeting the axil of the bb. probably not but just check.
  3. some can kick there own head!
  4. i woke in the middle of the night to my calf muscle cramping so so so hard. because i was "relaxed" i couldnt straiten it for about a minute. now it cramp very easy on my left moo muscle. by far the worst cramp i ever had.
  5. This is one of the most random topics, anyway, i think that on small natural stuff they may find it good fun but as far as i know some have trouble walking down stairs. its not the riding, i am more worried about the bailing. he may find that that people laugh and joke at him when riding. not riders but spectators. pros and cons aside i think anyone that wants to ride can ride but if they dont then........maybe you should ask him first. a little cruel but if someone posts such a topic what do you expect. would be easier though...
  6. if you look at JOEL BENNETT on you tube i think thats what you are after. i ride with him a lot and he loves spinning around like a fairy.
  7. chai!!!!!! whats your phone number?????
  8. looks cool but i also can can see skate style shoes sitting on the flange bit. i reckon mine would anyway.
  9. get the free wheel remover and place in place. get some threaded rod/old axil type thing and some large washers and some bolts that fit the threaded rod. put the rod through, put the washer on the top of the tool and the outside of the crank then bolt the lot together from each side. put the tool in a vice and get a large metal tube to go over the crank for extra leverage then crank that damn thing off. you could put the crank in the vice and use a spanner if you dont mind clamping you cranks. keep the threaded rod in a safe place for future use.
  10. i cracked my typhoon 26 on the chainstay after nearly a year. they were more than happy to replace it under warranty which was awesome. warranty's are based on manufacturing defects most the time so it depends on the manufacturer if the supplier deems it a warranty. Crash replacements can also give a fair discount if no warranty can be claimed. You must have proof of purchase for both to be valid.
  11. that sounds cool but i think the smaller the wheel the stronger the build. Maybe 3 cross one side (disc) and snow flake the other could be stronger.
  12. u +2mm so guys, after a good old ride i have decided that flake is not the best choice. i feel it flex doing gap to front switch to backs and the fact that having my front laced like that makes concentration while doing stuff focus slightly on "is my wheel going to handle this". it looks trip but if it was the way to go we would all be doing it. my wheel came out of true a few time tonight and was fixed by hitting the rim with my hands, goes to show that its not too strong. going to keep it for a few days just to see if it beds in but i think it may be a load of old shrivelled bollox. thanks for your posts guys
  13. think i will just re-lace 3 cross if a spoke goes. so far so good though, night ride tonight and am going to put it through its paces. you can mix up the lacing like a flake and radial on one wheel. there must be more but best thing to to is have a look on google images.
  14. Sunday i am riding central. any one want to ride Batersey park? finsbury park? victoria park? (suggestions)
  15. thats the one. it looks stronger on a 26 with less twists though. i think it may need to bed in a bit.
  16. an arrangement of the spokes where they are twisted around each other to give an interesting build, looks a little like a snow flake.
  17. i should have asked this before i done it but has anyone had there spokes snow flaked? if so were they strong enough or just crap. thanks hoots
  18. yeah i dont get why you posted. phone them, or email. it worked for me couple weeks ago. i am placing an order tonight and i want 90 free t-shirts in pink... thanks. (oh and my order never came because they couldnt contact my phone, lost it. my fault.)
  19. i would say nitomorz but if that hasn't worked then you need some wire wool or even a metal type sand paper. maybe wire brush drill bit. by the way it takes ages so roll up your sleeves. i used to have the side kick as well. heavy but kick ass. had the fork as well....so heavy. have fun and post pics when complete.
