  1. Hey guys, sorry for all my threads with the questions but i'm not too great with the whole 26 setup as i havent had one before. Ive got a new adamant a1 mod/stock frame with a +30mm bb rise. Ive ordered an onza 100mm x 5 degree rise stem and some carbon onza bars. Would this stem be suitable? Im only asking this as i have just noticed every one with adamants or + bb rise frames has quite long stems with a high rise. cheers-Hugh

yeah i will bud, building up a 26 at min so i'll be on some norwich rides soon
  3. haha well said scott, i myself have a fobia of rails, i cant even look at one, honest. I dont mind doing an 8ft drop off a slimey angled rock though .
  4. hey guys, how have you lot found the onza carbon bars-30 inch? Are they strong, do they flex alot, durability etc. Does anyone of a high level use them (so i know they can take abuse) etc. cheers-hugh
  5. ok cool, thanks for the feedback guys, when they say half link i guess they mean the extra link they always give you in that seperate packet with every chain? I'd rather run a solid all the way through chain, not to keen on those half links so i'll try the 18-15 first then if thats to hard i'll go up on the back to the 16. cheers-Hugh
  6. Hey guys, i'm building up an adamant mod stock for some uci 26 action, i kow the only gearing you can run without a half link thingy is 18t front, 15t rear. Whats this gearing like? Is it super hard, whats it like sompared to the normal 18t-12t mod set up? What gearing are you lot running on your stocks? cheers-Hugh

excuse my ignorace but are these trials run under uci rules?thanks-Hugh
  9. for me it's gotta be juanda de la pena and dani comas on the mods, juanda and dani are so smooth and powerful it's ridiculous, i like the way benito rides but i feel he gets a bit sketchy now and then. On a 26 i like watching the coustelliers, vincent hermance and danny butler, all great riders, all have their own style and all look amazing riding.
  10. yeah defo agree with you their, they do some crazy stuff but i have seen people riding street do massive stuff, crash and crash and try again and fairplay to them its hard, alot of the stuff neil and craig do you wouldnt see at a comp, i spose i'm not really refering to the 15ft drops etc etc i just wonder if they got alot of the moves thar are used in natural eg a hook, 1st time, anyways, it's great they ride and enjoy it, thats what it's all about. It's just with the comp stuff you have to concentrate on so much more, for example-am i going to get grip, am i going to land on that 4 inch wide point spot on to get the next move etc etc. If you dont get it right the 1st time theres no chance of re-doing that section again. i have to say it would be nice to see more people at comps, it's a great atmosphere so come on guys, join in, even if it's with you m8's for a laugh, you will still be supporting our sport. cheers-hugh
  11. yeah thats looks good to me. On the onza site it says the 95mm is intended for the 18t freewheelo lol, that what supercycles told me aswell. Hopefully got a tensile 85mm bash sorted
  12. thanks bud, just what i thought. cheers-hugh
  13. Hey guys, speaking to tartys today and they have said to run an 85mm bash with an 18t sprocket however supercycles have said run the 95mm with the 18t. problem is i cant get an 85mm bash for atleast a month!! What are you guys running? cheers-Hugh
  14. sorry guys but i only just saw this and thought it made a really intersting read that for sure i have thought about before. Fair play to those who ride street, it's their choice and aslong as their having fun thats all that matters. However for anyone that says natural is the same as street and no harder must be kidding them selves. Not only is it more techical and requires accuracy and a huge amount of concentration, in a comp you have to get stuff right 1st time everytime, there's no 2nd chance unless you recover it, which is another great aspect of natural. I would like to know how many times it took the guys riding in these "amazing" street videos to get that sidehop or this hook etc. To compare them to the likes of benito and vincent is ridiculous, i myself just watched a uci vid, with our own dan butler in and the usual world level uci lot and it was truly amazing how they can do such massive moves with adverse weather conditions all without touching the crank etc. Anyways thats just my thoughts, i have ridden street but not got the same buzz out of it as i find you only have to concentrate on the move rather than lots of other factors. I'm basically a natural nut!! But will be trying some uci style riding on me 26" when it's built and a bit of street. thanks-hugh
  15. : sorry could get the pics to load up, i'll have another go. When i say what parts, i mean what parts complement the geo of the frame? cheers-hugh
  16. Hi guys, i know ive got an 07 monty ti but ive wanted a stock for ages to do some tapping and uci style riding, plus ive never tried one. I thought i'd build it up gradually, but thanks to tartybikes this is what ive got so far:adament A1 and cane creek headset. Not sure on other parts any suggestion? cheers-Hugh

  25. Hi guys, i have been looking around and i cant afford a new koxx xtop, i was gona buy that one from the lad in Russia but dont want to risk it. Anyway what are the czar frames like? How do they compare to the real xtp-ride/weight/strenght wise etc? Are there better frames for the money eg onza limey etc? cheers-Hugh
