  2. I'll be riding too!!!! In senior class. It's gonna be the best trials event of the year in this country by a long way :)-Hugh
  3. height doesnt have a part to play in it. dani comas is like 6 1/2 foot tall and he rides a monty ti mod!!! -Hugh
  4. Hi all, i have decided to go back to the old style 2004 magura lever. The lever i am using was re-sealed by magura a while back but never used. a friend used it and it leaked again, however i remember magura saying sometimes you need to re-bleed them and they will re-seal. has anyone else had this proble or would the seal be gone again!!! -Hugh

    Zoo-ology

Sweet bike Lee. Hope you have fun ridin it ;) -Hugh
  7. if you notice alot of the top UK riders are going back to the older levers. this is because they give more power and the 2005 maggy's flex reducing power and eventually break. :)
  8. Nice vid Ben, good to see people makeing an effort to produce traditional proper natural trials videos. :- I take it i'll se you on sunday at Addingham. -Hugh
  9. Well i have just found the 2006 monty "26 on www.monty.es :- -Hugh
  10. I think if you look closely dani comas is riding the new frame, the only difference is a little bit of welding on the drop out and i think this has been done to strengthen it incase you want to run a rear disk, which pretty much no one does anyway. Also i think, not deffo but they may come with hope monotrials for 2006, dont hole me to that though. also the paint job will be simular to the little toddelers bike but a silver one will still be avaliable. -Hugh
  11. I think that may have been because he was running a rear marta which are bad enough on the front let a loan the back. in all the spanish champ vids the hope's look like they really work well on the back, just wanted to see if any "normal" riders have used one on the monty's. -Hugh
  12. Hi, i have noticed dani comas and cesar using the rear mono trial disks, has anyone got this set up on their 2005 monty "20 if so how does it work comapred to magura's and do they slip etc. thanks-Hugh
  13. the best technique for "26" is front touch to back or both wheels. However the hook is used quite abit in "26" inch to. try pulkling up about 1 1/2 bike lenghts before the obsticle if it's a big hook. For the bigger ones try rolling up to it at jogging pace. start slower and get faster. -Hugh
  14. Hi, i am after a new pair of trials shoes, as my monty's are looking a little out of date and worse for ware. I have tried the new monty shoes but have found them too wide as i have narrow feet. What experiences have you had with the ribo shoes. i know they will grip well because of the davos sole but is the shoe well made and durable. also can you use the ratchet on the shoe to make them narrower loike you can use the laces on the monty shoes?? -Hugh
  15. they are still making the other type of shoes, i think this shoe was actually made for their bmx race team but also appeals to us trials riders. No matter what anyone says i havent found any shoes that can even match up to monty's in durability and grippyness. the davos sole they use is deffinately the best to have. not sure about the ribo's though they seem popular.-Hugh
  16. Nice one chris :) Another great all round video :) -hugh
  17. he doesnt punch the holes out, they come as standard try-all rims and his dad files them out from the circles using bigger and bigger files until the right size is attained. i saw his dad doing it at the worlds. oh and i'm pretty sure it weakens the rim because had to have a new set of wheels for each trial, he probably cracks them. -Hugh
  18. how can u say try-all's r shite they are the best trials tyre on the market grip wise.
  19. i have ridden both these bikes and have the monty ti o5. This i think as do many others that the monty is the best mod bike this year. it sits on the back wheel amazingly and weights alot less than the xtp. not only this the monty's seem to be made from stronger alluminium and they dont dent anywhere near as easy as a koxx. Infact they are amazingly strong. Also the montys are short but the bb was moved back 1 cm for 2005. This makes them bike amazingly comfortable to ride even for very tall riders yet it still keeps it's flicky quality. Why not speak to Barbara at www.cleanbikes.co.uk i'm sure she would give you a very good price on a monty and will tell you everything you want to know (Y) -Hugh

    Hope Mono Trial

I have a 160 on my monotrial and it is better than my fully bedded in magura marta by a long way. I have only ridden up and down the road and it's all ready better (Y) -Hugh
  21. Great day to day, i thought the trial was set out really well and there were some great sections. Shame i had 3 silly fives which set me back to 6th instead of 3rd in seniors any way theres always the next round. -Hugh
  22. I hope alot more people have sent in their entry's now there is a non points entry scheme. We must remember alot of effort is put into these events especially on Barbara's part so i hope the entry's have increased :(. -Hugh
  23. My mum was using the hob so i used a lighter the pads turned black so i got that off with some sand paper. Thing is the feel i am getting from the brake is a contaminated pad feel not a i need bedding in feel. -Hugh
  24. I have done all of the above and burnt the oil off etc but no joy, still just sliding when the brake is applied, there is not one bit of bite there (Y) -Hugh
  25. when u say wack the pads over tyhe hob for 5 minutes do you mean without cleaning them atall? And what does this actually do to the pad? -Hugh
