Anyone got experience mixing vanilla custard flavour? I've tried 3 times now, 10%, 20% and 25% flavour to VG base but they all taste like wet socks haha.

Been busy tonight. Made 500ml of eliquid.
Strawberry, Cheesecake, Butterscotch, Rainbow Sherbet and Vanilla Cupcake.
Can't wait for these bad boys to steep. 100ml each should take about 2 week I reckon with the lids off and a shake a day.
What was your mixing ratios?

I remember using the coils mine came with, went up to mid 30 watts no problem. I can't tell from the photos but maybe the cotton is still too tight inside the coil.

What? I didn't even know having the coil above the post is a thing lol. Mine's below post, top of the coil level with the top of the screws.
EDIT: Yeah definitely looks better. Wet the cotton and see how they bung up the draw holes, if you see a gap it may leak.
EDIT EDIT: You may want to space out the coil a bit and see if that helps. Coils wrapped tightly together causes a "heat spot" if you will, too much heat on a single spot of the cotton can cause it to dry up and burn. Spread out the coil and heat is more evenly spread out, less likely to dry up a single spot.

I have that subtank too. Definitely too much wick in there, the juice doesn't flow as quick as it needs at higher watts so you'll get dry hits.
If you want to pull at higher watts you need to wick the cotton as straight as possible from draw hole to draw hole, and not densely twisted cotton either. Here's mine. I can pull up to about 40 watts, I get dry hits above that but I am using 100% VG liquid which isn't very watery. That's a 2mm diameter coil, 0.35mm kanthal @ 0.5ohm.

Bordering 60 euros for tubes that look like they'll pop the moment you pump them up? Looks like one of those more money than sense items. Prove me wrong though if someone uses them for trials.

Thing is, what I was doing already is pretty much what a deputy manager will be doing. For the manager to say that our experience would not be accounted for for the role (which is a load of shit anyway) and then bring up my last review as my experience to justify why I didn't get the job. Bullshit. If you were going to go by my last review (2 months ago) should have just told me not to apply. The whole "lets interview everyone that applied anyway" is a f**king cover up, there's been rumours and hints that she'd be considered for the job for weeks. Interviewed everyone to make it look fair.
I actually wouldn't mind the deputy manager role, this job is easy as f**k. It's retail, but not a big chain store. There's only 2 of our shops and I get paid £14.5k before tax to serve customer, hang clothes, tidy, answer phone calls, manage a few casual staff. After manager told me I'm not getting the job he said they will consider looking into something as recognition for my efforts and for running a specific part of the shop. I've been running that part for the last year, now they consider it after I didn't get the job. It's like they feel bad. I don't know what they think but me making orders of stock for this part of the shop that easily totals to over £10k every ~2 months with a profit return of about 4x from that £10k order sounds fairly important to me.

Went for an Assistant Manager role at work. Gets told experience will not be taken into account, okay. Do interview, went okay, was nervous as f**k though. Get told today I didn't get the job because I'm not ready and not enough experience. What the f**k. I've been full time here for just under 3 years. Job went to a girl who's casual here, has nothing on me experience wise. She left her last job a few weeks ago because she didn't like it anymore. Comes back and works here for a few weeks and bam, Assistant Manager. f**k this place.

In other news, my G27 wheel turned up over the weekend. Annoyingly it didn't work properly and it was from the US so I had to take it apart to see if I could fix it rather than bear the costs of returning it. I had to take it apart and reassemble three times, but in the end I fixed it so that's all good.
Then these plans turned up this morning... Don't think I'll get any time this week to make a start but hopefully this weekend I'll be able to give it a go.
Are them plans 1:1 size?

Whether the billow leaks is still up to the build, not because it's a RTA it's less likely to leak.
Anyone have any DIY flavour suggestions? Bored of the usual fruit/sweet flavours.

Yea, I got lazy and ordered DIY plans so that I don't waste any time on getting it wrong. I'll be building this as soon as they turn up. I've got a couple of mods in mind for it already, but it allows me to get going properly. I'll also be able to add things like bass shakers in time to add to the immersion, because I won't be able to bother with a full motion sim for a few years. Plan is to use some high powered bass shakers and separate the whole rig from the floor on a layer of tennis balls so that it allows as much movement as possible. V1 will be static though
Any chance I could 'burrow' the plans when you're done?

As I mentioned earlier I ordered a new wheel and pedals setup last week for my sim racing. In the mean time I ordered another pedal set as an upgrade to the ones I hadn't received yet, because they have a more realistic brake feel.
Got them today and can't actually use it without pushing my chair back. Good job I'm planning to build a permanent rig this weekend...
Using a normal office chair with wheels? Just pull off the wheels and it won't move, if you're on carpet.

Oh shit it's £32 now? I think it was £24 ish when I got it. But probably since when I got it it's received several big updates which includes more modes and cars so there's more there so more money.

I've been messing about with my Kbox Mini this morning, changed the coils and got some new juice.
Im seriously struggling to get it set up right, it's reading 0.6omz on a 0.5 cool but isn't producing decent vapour unless I put the watts to 40+ which is spoiling the taste a little.
I had the same issue before, but because the taste of the juice I had was quite strong I couldn't taste how burnt it was tasting.
Anybody else had any issues with a mini doing a similar thing?
Probably down to how well you've wicked the coil. I have a kbox mini as well and I have a 0.6ohm coil in there at 15watts and I get decent vapour (100% VG juice). Not massive clouds, I'll try and record a video

Cool beans I'll try starting at 10%. Now that I'm making my own juice I need a RDA again, I threw away my last crappy one since moving to RTAs. The RDA could be handy to test juices quickly rather than building up a RTA.

What's a rough ratio of flavor to base you guys start with to those who mix their own juice? I've started to mix my own, so far some success but others not so much.

I have the G27, with the progressive spring and rubber block brake mod. Works pretty well. It's a decent first wheel, but shifter does feel a bit flimsy though.
