Seriously dude! 100% get a BIRD. My friend has a RIP and within 3 weeks the cranks fell off and the bike overall isn't very good. Mostly because of it's 20" back. If you get any good you'll have to buy a new frame and backwheel which is 19". You may aswell get the BIRD- at least then you can be practising on the more preffered 19" back wheel Hope this helped. mat.

Hmm- i would suggest a Onza blade (£500~) Any of the Onza 20"s with a 19" back are great begginer bikes. Personally, i wouldn't buy the RIP because my friend baught one and within 3 weeks his cranks were trashed and were falling off Mat.

Heya guys- i live on Victoria Dock. Got a simple Onza Blade. You might of seen me. I pretty much suck on trials. But, i can do very basic drop offs. Etc. Dunno about coming out yet cos i freaking suck x

I agree with most of the people on here! Trials is all about technique not about how 'hard' you are. If you look at some people's videos they're complete ''wuffers'', but they can still do some sick riding. Just rideing your bike will be good enought But, if you really feel like you need to do something- the legs- and the shoulders. Push up bar's a good idea. And maybe leg work at the gym?.. Orr... Hello my friend! Personally owning a Onza Blade, as soon as i saw your thread 'Onza Blade'- i simply had to take a look and try to help! I believe the Onza Blade is a simply brilliant bike! Great brake set up (yes i would upgrade both brakes). It's the best started bike for the money you're paying that i can think of! Your friend will of made a brilliant choice, just as i did, in picking the Onza Blade from all the other cheap 20"'s out there! I hope i helped. Thanks alot! Mat. P.s. Hmmm.. I'd say- but a new frame, there's some sickly light ones on tarty.. Also, you could always ride without a bash guard ;P But, that's not really recommended. Mat.

Yeah- most of the 'stupid' questions people get asked are usually all the same. For example; Q- ''Dude, WTF you done with your seat?!'' Worst thing i've done to a mates bike was put a massive dent in the frame ;P Jumping from wall-wall ;D That was painful Mat.

Well when you get off the 'new members' section. I'd be considering looking to see if you can get some; Trial tech race - flat bars. These are really really nice bars. I've got them on my mod. Pretty hawt. Check them out Mat.

Yeah that's a good website, ^^^ (Up there) Personally you don't want to go for the traditional 'BMX' style helmets that they sell on Tartybikes- i think they look a bit stupid. Just go for some average MTB helmets, or maybe something a bit more extreme But, to be honest with you guys.. The big ones look daft ;P Mat.

Personally i started with the Onza blade- but, i had alot of cash at that time to start with Christmas and all.. However, all the onza's ranging from RIP-BLADE are pretty cheap, and just great bikes! Hello Guys! I'm Matty, i'm new to these forums and just getting the hang of them! (pretty much got there) I'm currently riding a Onza Blade mod. Pretty nice bike, just getting some new pads for it at the moment. I ride around Victoria Dock- in Yorkshire. I've been riding since Christmas now and loveing it- alot better than all the sports i've ever played! As i said- just started so i wont of seen you guys around anywhere. Yeah....... but any way check out your local bike hut :thumbsup: Yeah dude, i bought some stuff from Halfords, it's a pretty good website! To be honest with you pal- Just buy t-shirts from tarty, they've got a recent reduction in their prices! And also they have some very, very nice hoodies! Which i quite like the look off Going to order my self one of them on the weekend mat.
