  1. I think theres 2 entries so far lol, in which case thats 2 people who are getting a shit load of stuff between them! Not sure what to do with the third prize. Maybe ill enter a shite vid and claim it for myself :D

EDIT, will confirm prizes once theyre erm.. confirmed.

Each team who enters can expect a bunch of stickers just for entering and getting their vid uploaded by 31st april! (Y)

  2. James is now running the video competition, like last year!

Check the video competition subforum to find out the prizes!

    FOR ENTRANTS

If you would like to enter the Trials-Forum Video Comp 2004, here's what you do.

Send me (James) a PM, NOT an email becuase I never read them (bare that in mind for the duration of the competition) Saying as follows:

name of team ( I.e, bounce kings )

team website, if you have one ( I.e, http://www.bouncekings.tk )

name of editor (I.e Mr John Editor )

    editors email (I.e Johnedits@blah.com )

and you can add me to msn if you want jprwoolley@hotmail.com

thats all you need to do for now, but keep checking your inbox's (on t-f) becuase I will then once youve been added to the system, send u a conformation email and give you some info etc..

    AS FOR DATES

I think tom's suggestion for the end of easter holidays (sunday the 18th) sounds reasonable, so that gives you SLIGHTLY LESS THAN 1 MONTH TO SIGN UP AND CREATE YOUR FIRST MASTERPIECE.

understood? reply with any queries u may have.

yours leadingly, 'James the vid comp directing and lone managing, genreally cool and laid back, love to get to know you kind of bloke'

ps im going to get in touch with some companies about possible prizes.. any suggestions about which ones?

  3. The problem is that our product range and our sphere of operations is so broad and diverse that an auto answer would inevitably be several pages long and would still frustrate many potential customers. Trials is an important but by no means exclusive area of operations for us.

Ahh ok, forgot about everything not to do with trials.

Maybe just an email explaining why it may not be answered, and if they need immediate help to phone this number..

Just good customer service really, requires probably 5 mins to set up (depending on your web control panel) and it will mean the however many people who email you per day wont feel ignored. Many of your customers WONT be on TF and wont know why you arent replying to them.. they will just think your ignoring them.

  4. 2. We have discussed the e-mail problem before. Even if we employed one person now full time the problem is so huge that we wouldn't be able to answer every one. We try to answer any e-mail which is very specific but if it is at all vague or too wide reaching then you have no chance. Use the phone if you have an urgent specific query.

I am looking into both these cases ( the gold levers and the e-mail from Holland) and hopefully something can be sorted. One thing I would say is has the guy with the black levers contacted us about the mistake as well as posting here. We cannot sort out problems we are unaware of.

Have you thought about setting up an auto reponse to reply to emails covering the most frequently asked questions? This could cover all the 'vague' questions.

I get loads of emails from new members asking me why they cant post. A simple auto response tells them why. If they question isnt on why they cant post ill reply personally.

Nicely avoided on the Monkey post by the way :D

  5. :S

They probably have something similar to Telediscount. If any of you make regular calls abroad and don't know about it, it's HERE

    (Y) :-

    :S

I was wondering how long it'd be until one of the super cycles crew came along, how about answering the question rather than telling them where to get cheap phone calls?

If you need to pay some kid £3 an hour for 2 hours a day to reply to all your emails I think it'd be a worthy investment.

  6. Ah I dunno, I get the impression you like slating me for trying to do what I think is best.

So I'll leave this one open.

Ooh I might even put it in Trials Chat so everyone can have a quick dig?

Shouldnt worry about it adam, you get used to it after a while (Y)

  7. You can tell by the cunning "mm" symbol, rather than the common or garden "cm" one.

That could be the clue, maybe people are confusing mm with cm, and therefore thinking everything is 10 times bigger than it really is.

Useful bit of info about the rule, I like that kinda info.. keep it coming, what a geek (me).
