It's all a trade off, a shorter crank arm will accelerate faster, but a longer one will give you more leverage, the other factor is your height, you can damage your knees by using cranks of the wrong length. Best idea is to experiment and see what suits. :S

Get ultimates every time, simply because the parallel push are so powerful they flex your frame even with a shimano booster, and that means that you get no extra power into the pads, just flex your frame. So its pointless. :S

Ok lads leave chris alone, ok his pads had some design flaws which I mentioned at the time, but they have all now been resolved, I myself have been running a set of his blues for ages on a ceramic rim and they've got ages left.
