Anydoby up for THIS sunday now? If its not raining....!

My god, I was thinking this exact question the other day!!! I miss ol... or young Timmy! I remember riding Reading with him when he was perfecting his xup manuals and other trick stuff... manualling across bike lock rails at the uni... rolling gap ups to thin rails... Last I saw of him was probably at DJ's memorial ride, the second year or something. I just remember he had a white van then. If I ever see him around again, Ill tell him to get back on that bike of his and start again

Hi people. I fancy riding Guildford, Surrey, Sunday coming. Im asking Mr J Jones and co., was wondering if there are any other localish riders nearby fancy a bit? Im not sure wheres best, town center and near the river/Theatre/M+S is ok... then later at stoke, perhaps skatepark if its dry? Maybe no-go if its wet and raining

Ok guys... have tried to turn the tensioner around and that didnt work, not enough space etc. Tried using no tensioner, chain is too short or too long... I ended up putting an old rear mech on which is what I really didnt want to do, but its worked. Hey presto! end of chain skip issue!!! BUT the freewheel is still crunching... feels like the bearings are mashed or something. Guess Ill just have to get a new one... anyone reccomend a STRONG freewheel? Not bothered about clicks, as long as its more than 24? BTW check out my other bike's chain wrap... explain to me how this one never ever skips Pics below

Chain line is dead straight, dead straight to chainring and on the tensioner... Im kinda hoping right now it IS the tensioner!

Really? I will give it a go, but its a cheap tensioner and not sure itll swing that way happily. Im really confused at how my other setup is fine and has even less wrap but absolutely no skippage at all. Will try that though! Cheers!

Hey guys Hope someone can help me. Ive recently moved towards rear freewheel and have aquired a back wheel with a tensile 60 click freewheel on. The last owner said it never skipped and was regulary serviced and has had one recently. It is used though, but seemingly not very much. Ive fitted my new KMC Kool and a tensioner and shortened the chain as much as I can to get the best chain wrap. Initially I didnt shorten it enough and the chain wrap wasnt too good. The chain skipped off the freewheel a few times just light pedaling. So now Ive shorted it as much as I can (see pictures) and on the very odd occasion it skips whilst pedaling, not when kick-hopping though. If I put a lot of pressure in, it sounds like the chains grinding against something, like the freewheel and if I carry this on, it skips and the chain/pedals jump forward a bit. When I held the freewheel and spun the wheel, I cant feel any notches so it APPEARS the freewheels ok... but Ive got better chainwrap on this than my older setup (but that was a different bike) Can you techies look at the piccies and give me your humble opinion?

Was good to ride with you guys today! Although I didnt really ride, but very interesting to see how good people are now days! Looking forward to the next time!

If its a saturday I cant make it... and doubt a few of the other guys here would be able to either. Why change the normal day of riding from Sunday? Its always been a Sunday for this ride. I wont be able to do 23rd/30th may... I dont want to miss this though

306... and no, I deadlock my car each time I leave it, wherever... but by the time they break in and try the handles and locks the damage has been done. Im getting too used to it now... is not good

With Young Nick Manning, Jonny Jones, John Shrewsbury and 2/3/4 other peoples cars including a bunch of untouched cars in the carpark near sainsburys... Someone got it in for my car... ive had to replace 2 passenger doors for break-ins earlier this year.

Some fukka broke into my car aint best pleased!

I use a camera thats not exactly top of the range so Ill never really get clear and crisp shots as a good canon or nikon but I can send you it anyway. You have msn?
