  1. Hello all guys and girls from trial-forum.

This is done, I'm a new member in this forum and I'm very pleased to be here with you.

I'm french, live near Paris and I practice trial again since 2 years after a 10 years stop due to a lack of time working so hard.

I hope I could talk with all of you about trial technical and features sharing you my point of view.

    Vins.

    Hello and welcome.

  2. Its gotta be Evolve! Ryan Leech, Jeff Lenosky, JJ Gregowizc, lance trappe absolutly awesome video really old now though! The bit where Jeff Lenosky hops over the fence and writes off his bike! And Ryan Leech snapping a frame with his bollocks! Ah happy days!

How about Revolution then thats a good one too.

  3. Just a quick question, i have a square tapered BB and when i pedal it makes a creaking noise from the crank going onto the BB, i no this isn't the BB because it happened with my old one, it works fine but just wandered if there is a way to stop it ?

    Cheers.

Have you greased it, when you put the bottom bracket in the frame and put grease on the bottom bracket Axel and in the square tapered hole on the crank.

That might do it for you.

  4. Onza ice , birds are an amzing started bike! You douche.

Did you read the first post he says (can i just say can people not say things like an onza bird or onza rip because it don't think that they r a good bike) but i think he meant i not it.

    Thats if I'm right.

  5. your miss's any good at trials ?

She is getting there, she cannot do much as we have not been able to get out riding together for a long time now due to work but she will be good trust me i have been teaching for about 15 years now.

  6. Ooh well now you come to mention it i was looking at wheels and brakes i thought they would be the best option then later on get pedals and tyres.

    Thanks Marcus

Like Max says get some magura's, pedal wise i like dmr V8's iv used them for years and tyres maxxis creepy crawlers i got my first set of them 4 months ago and I'm very happy with them so far. Also you will need some tar to put on your rear rim at some time because as you start to push harder and get better it helps, with braking and keeping it on the back wheel.

    Hope i have helped.

  7. I have just had a look on ebay for you their is a couple of nice bikes on there but i do like the look of the Onza Ice other wise Da Bombs are not to bad iv got one my girl friend is use it since i got my Czar.

  8. Alex HR 26 rims with Serfas Professional tyres, how exactly would I go about setting the V's up, and is it possible?

I just measured the tyres and it was difficult to get it spot on but i'm going to say they're roughly 70mm wide? And slightly off the topic, does anyone know when I would use 32H hubs and when I would use 36H hubs? Because i'm shopping for these too, and my current bike has 36H but I found a nice set of Hope Pro 2's and they're 32H

    Hello Herr.Wolfkatze

Your V brakes should fit but i'm not sure the only way to find out is to try them.

I have had both 32h and 36h hubs apart from being a bit stronger and heavier it doesn't matter i think, but normally its 32h street 36h downhill if i remember right other than that its up to you mate.

  9. Hi Alex

I started on a normal mountain bike when i was 13 it does take some effort but you will get there its just practice, practice, practice.

I got a 20" trials bike about 5 years later i still ride a 20" now but also still ride 26" too just not as often.

I would recommend getting a 20" now most get on with them and get very good within a year.

Also most 26" now are a lot lighter than they use't to be so that is an option too, see if anyone you know will let you have ago on theirs and see what you think.

  10. Whats the difference between LHM Plus and a standard DOT 4 fluid? Was there a reason why you went for LHM Plus over other hydraulic fluids?

Just seen that LHM is a mineral oil while DOT 4 is a synthetic fluid. Does that mean Maguras need a mineral oil brake fluid?

    Ta

Maguras use mineral based fluid thats why i use LHM Plus.

  11. Iv just been in magura brakes topic and Jack Chinnery is off again so much for being sorry he replayed to someone (Don't start arguments with me, I'm the queen bitch on here! I already answered his question, hence why I put 'tit') so will he every learn. :ban: :ban: :ban: :ban: HIM if he carries on like this i would.

    P.S.

Iv just seen the time of the post one hour after his last post in here not good, not good at all i say.

  12. Iv never used water i use hydraulic fluid in all my bikes but i use Morris LHM plus hydraulic fluid its a fiver for one litre and my brakes work very well.

But some of my friends use water it works fine so its up to you.
