  1. OPEN INVITE!                                                       MEETING 10-11AM LEFT SIDE PIER.
Its official Louth Trials Bikers (Facebook Group) has got its 1st meet and ride on 23rd April at Skegness. planning on meeting at the pier front in the morning, there is a large car park just to the left of pier I think it's £6 for days parking ( been told prices have gone up for this season by up to a few quid so I’d advice taking £10 to cover car park just in case). If u can come please just post your name in the comments below so we have idea of who/how many are coming, hope to see you all there and have a safe trip.

  2. Hi, folks

I recently bought a second-hand Onza T-Bird as just starting out. I noticed that the back hub has got 2 sprockets on it, but they're on either side of the hub, left and right side, in between the hub and the chainstay. Is it normal to have a second one as I've never seen this before? One sprocket looks slightly larger, so I assume it's to flip the wheel around to run a smaller rear sprocket. Just never seen it before.

    Cheers!

    Tom

It’s called a flip flop hub old style thing it’s from the time when front freewheels was just starting out. it’s so if you did not have the tools like a vice to remove your rear freewheel you just take the wheel out turn it round put the 12t on and put wheel back in change cranks put chain on and done your now front freewheel

In addition, it would appear that the side where the chain is, it's an 18T rear freewheel. Other side is just a screw on 12T sprocket.

    Normal gearing for 20" bikes

rear 18t rear freewheel crank 22t

rear 12t crank 18t front freewheel

  3. practice more as with most of us it can be like 3 or 4 months you just can do it 1 day bit the rest of the week you cannot but then 1 day you wake up go out on your bike and you can just do it like you have been doing all the time you will get it just keep trying and practise

  5. You may just have matured. I don't think that trials has anything to do with anger management.

True but I should be on medication for my anger and I found trials is a dam good way of keeping happy myself. I’ve not had medication in 15 plus years now.

  6. Hey, I have just started trials and already love it even though i cant do much. Just wondered if anyone else noticed that before they started trials they used to get really angry , but since i started trials instead of taking it out on people i take it out on walls, benches ext.

I use to get mad at all the small things that went on in life but after riding for some years now they tend not to bother me any more plus trials is fun, when I’m not to good I go out and take it out on some poor defenceless wall or bench trying to get tricks nailed which means I feel better and end up riding better to so alls good in the end

  7. Half link chains have bad stories to tell...

The curve that they do in the middle of the plate makes it weaker than normal ones...

I’ve been riding some 20 plus years used half links for 5 years not had a problem yet
