  1. So I'm sat reading the beginners guide on trashzen and my son says "that looks cool, think I'll have a go too" a bike has been purchased so we are now both eagerly awaiting their arrival so we can practice/fall off together.
  2. The look of panic on my face was a definite £250 on you've been framed . Thought it was something I'd done. Senokot? who needs em
  3. Muse on this works really well. http://www.break.com/usercontent/2007/9/Bu...ing-359841.html
  4. 21????? Old????? At 43, I must be geriatric. All my body parts seem to function at the mo though so I'm having a go.
  5. Sadly, :$ this guy is better than me. Hey, we all gotta start somewhere, though I think he should have waited a bit before putting any vids on the internet.
  6. You might want to have a look here for Head/Bottom bracket. http://www.ceeway.com Not sure if these would be trials specific but unless you machine them it could be a problem. You'll need to build a jig to hold everything firm while you put it together. Find a frame with the geo you want and build the jig around that. Are you going to MIG or TIG? TIG would be better. The welds would need heat treating too. Check the grade of alloy and rod you are using to see it it would be fit for purpose. There's are lot more science in frame building than just sticking a few pieces of tube together. Sorry if this sounds negative but the last thing you want is a frame that folds. Could end badly.
  7. Just wondered if anyone was riding in the Forest of Dean who I could meet up with to pick up a few pointers
  8. Cor blimey guvner. Look what I've started. Thanks for all the advice though guys (and the entertaining threads ) which I have used wisely and found myself a bike. I shall now be bothering you lot with many questions on how to get started. Cheers all

  12. zona zenith sounds good. What parts do you have to fit? How much?

  13. But your weight/mass will have a direct impact on the collective. You're not just throwing a lump of metal around. You're attached to it. Simple physics
  14. Cheers Doc. I think I'm getting the hang of this now.
  15. Hi Alex. I'm looking for a 26" that would suit a beginer. What you got??

  16. That only works if they leave that info on their details
  17. I read that too jack. At 43, I don't do text type because I don't know how. Talking bollix, well were all guilty of that from time to time. I'm sure my spelling is pretty good so I think I might just be ready to be validated then
  18. Got mine run over by a car that purposely drove up onto the grass verge to do it. Folded the bike clean in half. I was not happy and to make matters worse, I was so gobsmacked I didn't even get the reg of the car.
  19. Looking through the sale on the forum and I've seen a couple that I like but cant post to ask about them How many posts do I need or how long do you need to be a member before you can get in touch with other members. I got money burning a hole in my pocket!!!!

  21. Hi, I'm Marcus. 43 years young. Yeah, I know I'm a bit late starting. (better late than never) Live in the Forest of dean which is a great place to be if you cycle. Been mountain biking for a few years now but have to say my balance is RUBBISH. Thought I'd jump on a trials bike to try and improve things a bit. Right............. how do I start?????????????
