  1. Yeah, Cheers. I think I have pretty much made my mind up but would just feel better trying one on first before ordering one online. Might just have to go for it and hope for the best!
  2. Hey, I'm thinking about buying an Urge Endur-o-Matic helmet but I want to try one first, does anyone know a stockist in Central London? I have searched a bit but I'm new to London so I don't really know where to start and all the places I have found so for are on-line only. Cheers
  3. the spec and colour look different but this frame looks pretty much the same: http://www.hansrey.com/images/bikes/GT-Trials-Zaskar.jpg I remember these been on sale in blue so I reckon it is genuine

    How Much?

That tool is always worth having so I would just buy it. I used to work at Halfords and can assure you that I'm not a retard and I am very trust worthy, I was also happy to do little jobs (especially on trials bikes) for free. My local bike shop when I was at Uni on the other hand... If you need to find a good bike shop I would ask people to suggest a good one in your area, you never know your local Bikehut may be staffed by TF regulars.
  5. I used a Sun Mamoth in my ashton justice (not the white and red stripey one, the model before) with no problems, I can try to measure it later if you like to see how it compares to your 521. When I changed to a 47mm rim with new CNC pads I had to buy some offset mounts because the rim was too wide for the frame. My CNC pads are quite a lot deeper than standard pads so maybe you can gain a few MM with pads if they are only just out.
  6. I would love a carbon seat for my ashton justice, the original ones seem hard to get hold of too so could be a winner! I currently have a hub that the disc mount has been landed on quite a bit and is now un usable so some kind of carbon cap that slips over unused disc mounts on hubs and is secured with rotor bolts so that you don't mash the disc mount when side hopping, like a disc mount bash guard?(hope that makes sense, I'll draw a pic if it doesn't)
  7. Yeah, seemed like loads of money back then! Been out on them tonight actually and can confirm that they definitly don't get any better with age!
  8. Cheers, glad you like it. I was unsure when I first finished it but it's reassuring to see that it doesn't look like a £99 apollo paint job! Yeah the tyres are bike 99 originals that I had in the garage so they will probably be the first thing to go! They do have a good size:price ratio though! It also really needs to go on a diet as the weight is on the heavy side of reassuring so tyres are probably a good place to start
  9. Thanks for the feedback guys. I wasn't really that bothered about how it looked before but then it snowed and I lost a couple of bits while I was waiting for others to arrive so I just painted it to fill an afternoon, glad I did now though! The stars are just pre cut vinyl ones from ebay, they seem pretty sticky so they should last and you can get a oad of different designs for about £3 a sheet and the green paint was £1 a can from B&Q so it kinda designed itself Cheers mate, I'm only learning the basics but I think it rides really well. It felt so long and low compared to my last bike but the high bar and stem are helping me get used to it slowly
  10. Hey everyone, I've just about finished my first trials bike and thought I would post a few pictures up (if they work). It's a mixture of stuff I had cluttering up my garage and ebay/forum bargains so a few of you might recognise a few bits! Obviously there is plenty of space for upgrades but for a start-out bike I can't fault it. 11. I can't explain why but that had me in stitches.
  12. I knew you couldn't stay away from trials forum for long...

  13. Nice, were some of the spots around Stoke on Trent? They looked familiar
  14. Hey everyone, I'm just getting back into trials after a couple of years because I have been travelling so as you can imagine funds are low! This is a bit wordy but the effort in reading it is apriciated! I'm building a bike up now so I'm after a bit of advice on setup to make sure I don't make it ride like a dog! I have dug out most of a Stock bike and have just picked up an Ashton Justice because it seems short and hasn't got a crazy bb rise (it's red, that's all I have to figure out the age!) So the only things I have left to buy are forks, Stem and bars. Before I went away I was riding a 24 Bicycles Moon for street with an 80mm fork and loved it so I am trying to keep the justice as whippy and streety as possible without ruining the Trials feel so was going to buy a 90mm 15 deg stem and some DH style risers, maybe 2.5 inch rise and some straight forks to keep it short. Will these changes just ruin the feel? I was hoping to end up with something I can ride trials on and pull the odd wall ride or spin etc but I'm worried that I'll end up with a trials bike with the wrong front end that is useless for both. It's a bit of a ramble but hopefully you guys can sort me out!
