  1. Haha, is sick stuff. Some good editing there too, actually, though I have no sound on my comp so dunno if it's all good I do find myself a little more motivated, buuut I think this may be because I found out I've been validated today...but still, I want to get on a bike! It's a good video, tickled me inside, it did not in a rude way... And as I say, "Practise is progress"
  2. You know James Aylward? He used to ride trials but now does BMXing and lives in Herne Bay I believe?

  3. I ride a unicycle, a trials uni actually still planning to obtain a trials bike I am not too bad on it, though pedal hops are difficult. I've managed to obtain a selection of debris such as wooden planks and a pallet, so I have a nice course in my garden I do love it, it's much more controllable, I think, well, it's...smaller not necessarily more controllable, depending on how od you are I ride around London, just south east of it really, but that'd be a trek for you to go to to ride
  4. Yah, a bit monotonous but still, sounds good. Where's Doncaster in relation to the rest of the UK (preferably in relation to London)?
  5. Doves did the Winter Hill song with the trial biking video, was good stuff re-ignited my desire to learn trials riding
  6. Yah, I've actually given up on rushing into this and getting a bike asap, that way I now know a lot more about bikes before I get one, and I will actually probably end up getting a better bike than if I got the first one that took my fancy. It's worth saving up for a good bike then, so you learn more in the waiting period, and get a better bike, and it'll last longer before you need to start changing bits. I've been on ebay for a few days now, perusing bikes, and they're selling just over my range, but its definately helped on the whole learning front. As my birthday's just gone, I'll be able to put some "birthday money" towards it, and then put my own money towards it, and be able to theoretically double the money I'm willing to spend. Sooo I'll probably end up getting a new Onza Bird 09 model or something. But first I have to go on holiday for a week before I can return to my bike browsing...still impatient about getting a bike, but still, will mean there's a new selection available on ebay to look at
  7. Yeah, mine's coming to about £70 so it'll be good enough to learn on. Ah well, if I'm only learningthe basics on it, a 20" rim with a slightly thinner tyre won't make that much difference will it?
  8. Was too slow to edit it, but now I'm looking at a T-Vee, dead cheap, is it gonna be alright to learn on? And do bike with " 20" wheels " come with 20" front and 19" back or 20" both, or is it not a hard and fast rule for that one?
  9. http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....howtopic=140630 Was pretty much brought up recently, hope that explains it
  10. True, my creepy crawler maxxis tyre on my unicycle is huge, I can see the sort tyres you mean (It's a 19" trials unicycle ) Is the old model of the Bird (T-Bird, yah?) significantly worse than the new one?
  11. What's the difference between a 20" and a 19" back wheel?
  12. Aye, the Blade reference threw me Well it turns out by the time I get that bike and try it out and send it back, I won't be able to get my money back, and from the pics it seems there's a hole in the frame, a crack or split or whatevs, I dunno, but some sort of gaping void which shouldn't be there My mate, cousin actually, who is a specialist in a bike shop AND did trials for two years says a Bird is good to learn on, it's what his friend had too. It seems I'm just gonna have to splurge it on a Bird then
  13. BUMP - this bike's on ebay so I need feedback soonish please
  14. Would like a wider spread of feedback on that bike please? I like that response, but would prefer more responses just to make sure. Ta for the feedbackzz
  15. Well for only twenty quid you may as well buy them and see how they feel, and then if you preferred the feel of them before, buy the smaller rim...it's not too expensive to find out if it's just twenty quid...
  16. So with the little amount of damage it comes with, would it be worth getting instead of a Rip or something?
  17. I did, but after looking around, it seems a brand new one is gonna be too expensive...the rip and bird are both very expensive, that bike is only £200 unlike the £330 or £420 Rips and Birds...I just need some people more knowledgeable than me to check over that bike and see if it's as good as a Rip...
  18. Wanted to edit the above post, but is too late now. Is this bike ok for a first one? It seems like a good one but I wouldn't really know... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=320412005137
  19. Yeah that's a bit out my price range...was thinking 300 at a push, so do I get a Rip or a Bird? Edit: A Rip seems the way to go for me, but is there any reason not to get one which you guys know of? Other than quality comes with a price tag so there's gonna be better bikes, but is a Rip decent enough to learn on?
  20. Is this the bike? http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?pr...;category_id=10 It doesn't have the "T-" part of "T-Pro" so I'm not sure I got it right... And are there many cases of problems when buying second hand? That's basically my biggest worry, spending too much on something that's faulty...
  21. Has anybody ridden a t-pro and a rip for a significant amount of time to be able to compare them? People seem to be just recommending the bike they have, it would be nice for someone to compare the two...
  22. I suppose with a recommendation that strong from everyone, it'll have to be a t-pro is there a website with a particularly good price for t-pros?And is there any, uhm, parts on the standard t-pro which should be modified? Such as unreliable brakes, etc.
  23. Haha, ok I get the picture I guess I've designed a bike which isn't realy, I'll just have to push the boat out and get a t-pro or bird. Now's a fun bit t-pro or bird to get first? Also, Josh, can you explain what you mean when you said "the gearing is too easy" for riding around? Do many 20" have seats?
  24. How comes you're a member? :P

  25. If not from riding, then what from? I was trying a 50-50 grind on a skateboard about 6 years ago and snapped my left forearm (both bones?) clean in two. Was a delightfully clean break, unlike a spiral break the kid in the next bed had. It was exactly the same place, but his had fractured in a spiral fashion and he was in agony, mine was numb as an overdose kid in the next bed did his arm in from riding a bike...dangerous stuff, that bike riding malarky
