  1. It's fine. Nobody turned up. I rode there for a couple of hours, but I was riding rubbish. There is no snow left! How was Leeds? Many people?

    Onza Comp

New bike is looking good. Just a tip for the procarbon 'protector'. Put a couple of layers of foam (handlebar tape) inside it and zip tie it to the frame. I had to do this after it didn't stop a dent on my frame! See you soon Carl Jed
  4. Im not sure where to get the magnets, but they do appear to use magnets Tartybikes. Jed
  5. Yes, you should be able to. This is how I did it: 1) Get a block of wood (so you don't damage the axle) and place it on the axle. 2) Hit the block of wood with a hammer. 3) One bearing should come out with the axle. 4) Take the bearing off the axle and put the axle back in the hub. 5) Hit the axle from the opposite side so the other bearing pops out with the axle. For putting the bearings back in: 1) Place a bearing on the hub where the bearing goes. 2) Tap the bearing back in making sure it is going in square. 3) Place the axle in the hub. 4) Put the other bearing in using a socket (slightly smaller than the outside diameter of the bearing, but still touching the outer metal part of the bearing) to slide over the axle, again making sure it goes in square. Hope this helps Any questions fire away!!
  6. Big thank you Barbara. Amazing day and you remembered to book the decent weather. Also thanks to Phat Mike for sponsoring the event and suppling prizes,(pad refills and jersey).
  7. I'm going to advice shorts!! Most people seem to ride in them as: 1) You don't get material caught in the chain 2) More monoeuvrability (sp) 3) In the event of a downpour (e.g Lee Mill Tyke comp) you will not get the dreaded chafing 4) Jeans absorb more lots more water so will be heavier and uncomfortable (awaits abuse from Ross) 5) Bristish weather is totally random so we may have some sun. Jeans + Sun + Riding = (No mankinis allowed) Enjoy the comp whatever you wear
  8. Top man, cracking riding Adam (nice setup Robin)!! See you Sunday Jed

  13. Big thanks to everyone who helped organise the competition, also to everyone who helped on the day. We have to remember that these competitions are run on a voluntary basis and people give up their valuable time. Hopefully next time there will be more observers. Bring along friends to help observe.
