Not a funny one but had my first ride bakc after 4 years the other day and managed to sprain both my wrists

What causes this? My cranks and BB are brand new?? Can this still be the problem?

Ok thanks people. Do all freewheels have the "wobble" that mine has at the moment. Because its a pain in the ass with chain tension!

Does anybody know what the Echo SL freewheel is like? Or does everybody recommend the ENO and Tensile 96? Caswell

I bought a Echo SL Not long ago, and i dont think it made any difference personally, but that might be just down to my frame?? Sorry if not much help.

Could have, but I hope not as they are BRAND new! They do seem fine.

Why are they? They are ISIS cranks

Ok Thanks I shall have a look in a mo. After riding on it for a while there has been no more creaks!! Which is good! But I will still look for cracks as it has happened in the past too and I found a crack!

Yeh, I checked for cracks around the BB area but didnt see anything. I have just regreased the BB and the pedals as advised, I had a little ride around the garden, it creaked for the first few pedals but stopped. Im now going to go for a ride for an hour so will see if it comes back, fingers crossed thats job done!! Thanks for your help. Caswell

My bike seems to making a creaking noise around the crank area?? The Cranks are tight all the time as I always check my bike before I ride. Also my pedals are tight and bottom bracket. I have looked for cracks but I cant see any! Is this just something that happens due to the strain being put through my bike?? Can anyone help please? Thanks Caswell

I completely agree! Not everyone is as great at spelling and sentences as others! Its not right to have such a high expectation! This forum should not be about who can spell the best and having perfect english skills, its about helping each other out and talking about trials!! If someone does'nt but a full stop or capital letter in the right place you can still understand and read what they wrote! Looking through other peoples posts, alot of people don't do the basic things! However you can still read what they have written, and still form a conversation from it. Also i for one do not have the access to the spell check as it does not work for some unknown reason! It may be the same for others?

There are many other people on this forum in members section who do not do that? Are they sent to pre members??

ok will do, i found it so easy to throw the bike around in that gear, however had no power when backwheeling walls! anywho! now off to spain see u in a week!!!

echo cnc 170mm. been riding today on it, getting used to it now, took a while, such a harder gear, but i can sidehope and wheel swap as high but gapping i just cant get enough power into the pedals!! what do you guys think? stick to it or go to 14t?

Pain in the ass, but take the brake off submerge it ALL in water and pull the break and you should see some signs, air bubbles, as if there is a split the there should bring air into the hose. Think that should work?? to find the hole

Hi, I have just changed my rear sprocket from a 16t to a 12t (running a 18t on the front). its gone from being too easy to being too hard?? Should i persist and see how the 12t is? even though i can gap and hop half as far and high! or should i go for maybe a 14t or somthing?? Help is appreciated Caswell

ok, is that on a grind or smooth? mine are on smooth, i just took mine off cleaned and sanded them, (they wernt v dirty) but its worked, i also added a echo sl booster to my rear set up (makes no difference) GRR but that doesnt matter either because i just snapped my chain sidhopping to back wheel on a sign! was on the top at KABLAMOOO!!!! have a sore toe now!!

the started of really good!! but they have worn down a bit, i expected this from bedding in, but the hold doesnt seem to be as strong now! i have only juist come back into trials after 4 years and i had plazzies before i quit and i remember them to be much better than now?? but it could be the change of rim??

Hey, Just got myself some Creepys front and rear, seem brilliant lots of grip, but will see how long they last, get yourself on ebay type in maxxis creepy crawlers, very good deal going, 2tyres, 2 tubes for 25 squid! Cheers
