Well if its doable im doing it ! I don't have far to go for work or for the local sights so getting a little tired I can deal with.. best get on the wanted side for some 24 " sss and a rear brake set up !!!!!
-
the geo doesn't worrie to much to be honest as this bike will be used an everyday bike with an 8 speed set up on the rear and not as a pure out trials bike ! ( maybe a little ) I did realise that the rear rim brakes would be a huge fail so I am going to go for disk style brake set up front and rear. Looking for any issues that would make this impossible to do really as I haven't seen anything that says it cant be done but at the same time don't want the bike to look like a clown should be riding it ....

Hi guys and any girls !!!
Thinking of doing a new build for the summer but I don't like the look or feel of 26" rims anymore. So was thinking of trying 24" wheels on my frame. Its an old school Saracen mad frame with original forks. So before I do this and jump into the fire I would like to know if this possible to do for 1 ! and if so are there any issues I could come up against such as brake alignment ! or bottom bracket drop out etc Any input would be sound at this point and will help me make my mind up which way to go with this build........ 24" or 26" thanks guys

welcome to the trials world !!

ummm and there isn't any seals gone within the brake lever itself or the piston seals ! Wont of thought the tpa would have any affect on the brake performance as it has no seals for fluid to escape from. if it were me id remove the brake and test for leaks in water as oil will float apart from that im stumped !!!!

I would go for a fresh bleed first as it sound like it has air in the system. sticky piston wouldn't behave like that I don't think !

Syringe method every time + 1

No, but the pawls and springs can go in the wrong way.
Not really much stopping you doing it wrong.
From looking at the picture here which way should the pawls be facing ? Too the right or to the left. Thanks

I used parcel force last week to send my stock . Cost 25 quid with insurance . Picked up same day and deliverd by 9am next day.
Best service ever . Avoid Royal Fail .

I was second had and it might of been serviced by someone with half a brain and they put the pawl and springs in the wrong way around. Out to the shed i go . So the ansewr to my question: Can they be put in back to front ! its a yes say the forum !!

I have an eno freewheel which i cant get my head around. When its on the cranks arms ( Echo ) and i pedal forward instead of ingaging the whole thing
ratchets forward. I pedal back wards and it ingages. Its like its been taken apart and the pawls and spring have been put in back to front. Is this posiable on the white industries freewheel. Any help would be great before i pull it apart thanks guys !!

The official date is the 4th May, I think, but it may end up being done sooner than that
Cool. spoke to tary and all sorted thanks for your help mark

There is another way...
You could buy the individual parts for that Echo TR 19" wheel you were after on the site and we could lace that up for you no probs (It also works out £1.50 cheaper than buying the complete wheel, primarily 'cos the Echo TRs are normally ready built so they can be sent faster. It'd get a better build if we did it though ). We don't have the front TR hub or rim you want, but you could go for something like the sealed Onza disc hub and a white Trialtech Sport rim (so the wheel would look pretty similar to the TR wheel anyway), and it'd cost the same as buying the TR wheels you wanted to get anyway...
Thanks for the reply mark, that sounds perfik i think il be ringing tary back to place the order. What sort of time line we looking at for a wheel build mate thanks

Just wanted to ask if anybody knew off a good reliable trials shop that sells 19" 20" trial wheels for mods apart from tarty, as the ones im after are out of stock for the next 3 months. Thanks in advance people !!!

ok so i need to put my new hub on my wheel
i stripped the tyre tube and rim tape and un screwed sum of the spokes but i got confused and didnt want to hurt my baby lol
so i sent the mother up to halfords with it and they said they couldnt do it for me because they didnt have something or watever now i dont know what to do
how do i get it done ?
Send the whole lot to tarty. They will sort that out no problem .

Come on people surley you can do better than hello !! At this rate you will never get validation.
-
Hello to all!, me aconsejais to remove the exterior(foreign) cap of the rim do I begin sl? Excuse for my Englishman, I use translator.
A strong embrace from españa
Im sorry dude but cant get the jist off what your saying or the problem your having. Something to do with your rims i understand but thats about all i can make out sorry !

Nah dont worry ill be ok, i'm an engineer by day!!! just wanted to get an idea of other peoples experiences before i went wading in and wrecking my rims!!!!
thats pretty much exactly what i'd planned on doing how you described, just wanted a few other peoples take on it first!! i've seen some drilled sidewalls too, i'm running idsks so i'm contenplating this too - anyone have any experience in this???
What on same rim your gonna hole out ? I wouldnt! it would proberly be to weak if you did. Seen a few rims drilled on the side wall. Personally i think they look gash but personal prefrence and all .
-
Did you take the rim off the spokes or just take the tyre off and go through from the outside towards the hub??
I took the tyre off the rim,and drilled from outside to inside. I marked the center of the rim so if its a 40mm rim that would be 20mm to the center line, then measuerd from spoke nipple to spoke nipple and got the center. Dot punched it all the way around, then used a 5mm pilot drill bit to get it started, then used a 20mm holesaw which i got from screw fix direct. Make sure you get all the waste out of the rim or you will have tons and tons of flats. Got some pics some where if they will come in handey.
-
Id say why not i managed to drill my halo combat wheels without any problems at all. No weakness or flex what so ever so its all good. Used a 20mm hole saw wouldnt advise going any bigger than this.

Why does everyone give trials-uk a bad name? I Havent bought anything from them yet but they have some good deals, so why does everyone give them a bad name?
First things first "Trials uk" gave "Trials uk" a bad name not everyone. They or we slate Trials uk because your order allways arrives 3 months late and if your lucky enough to get your order it will be the wrong Order all together.

This is very true. Every time iv bleed my hope iv wedged a block of wood in between the pistons opened up the bleed nipples and bleed away. Refitted the pads and the wheel and the pads will set themselves once the lever is pulled. Sweet as a nut
