Haha. Another vote for silver!! Its looking like a landslide win for fully polished then at the moment!! I will probably have to order a couple of Echo stickers from Tarty to put on them once the logos vanish under a bath of caustic soda!! James

I usually do as well. And as i plan to go for silver headset and brake mounts it could all look very shiney. But i still think i will leave them black for the time being. Ive decided im going for white rims. James

The DH parts of the chase are sooooo much fun. Smashed myself up pretty good on a lot of them on my Yeti DH9 before i got rid of it. Damn i miss that bike!!!!

Its nicely put together i must admit, neat welds etc. I have heard that the rear brake mounts are in a bit of an odd place though?! I will see how i get on when the time comes to fit wheel/brake etc. Pic of frame and forks together Excuse Elvis (my Labrador) he always wants to come out to the garage when i go out there! What do you reckon, strip the forks or stick with black? Im leaning towards staying black at the moment Cheers James

Yeah i think i will leave the forks black for the time being. I cant decide what colour rims i should go for, play it safe with white and go for a nice classy polished, black and white scheme or go for fluro of some sort, probably green?! What do you reckon? James

Hi all So i decided to abandon the Speedrace frame after so many stories about problems with the frame and the fact it was a re-weld. I got this '08 Echo Pure instead. It came in a very dark grey/blue/black sort of colour so it underwent a session with the Nitro-Mors. I also did a few more of my own weight saving modifications. I removed the rear end of the top tube and did my own headtube cutout It also has holes in the bb shell So this is how it looks so far, with my Trialtech SL stem When i have some more spare time i will give the frame a good going over with wire wool etc to shine it up a bit What do you reckon so far? Also with this stem (130mm 25degree rise) how mant headset spacers would people recommend that i use? Thanks for looking James

Hey all i am building a stock bike at the moment. I have a speed race frame (the same as the one in the attaced pic) and echo urban forks. I want the trial tech sport forged stem but would i be better going for the high rise or normal one with trial tech bars( not the high rise ones) Any advice greatly appreciated James
