  10. I have been trying to learn the "side hop" for the longest time. Ever since last year, I have been trying and trying and trying... to learn this elusive skill. During that time, I basically did what I called the "chicken" side hop.. Basically, I just pulled the handlebar up and backward to pivot back, and then hopped onto the wooden pallet. It looked nothing like the Ryan Leech's Side Hop video. I did not have the guts to pedal down to bring up the front wheel... which is why I called it my "chicken" side hop... Hahah. Anyway, early this month, I decided to try learn the skill again. This time, I concentrated on just pedaling down to bring up the front wheel before extending my arms to bring up the rear wheel, similar to a bunny hop... but as stationary as I could possibly managed. I practiced that for about a week, but could only managed to side hop onto a single level of the wooden pallet and rather inconsistently at that. Today, I decided to try a different way to do the side hop. I started in a rear wheel hop position and then side hop onto the wooden pallets. On the first try, I could managed it beautifully!!! You could imagine how happy I was... Hahahah. I was amazed. It is quite obvious that I still have a long way to go to master this new skill. From the Ryan Leech video, one could discern how useful this skill would be when riding a rock section. I just cannot wait to be able to side hop consistently and doing the many variations of the side hop. The day will come when I will be able to put all these BikeTrial skills together in a symphony of synchronized movements to conquer a section!
  11. Learning to pedal kick is just a matter of timing. You want to release the rear brake and push on the peal all while the rear tire is off the ground. To get more distance let the front wheel come down a bit and then kick, its easier to see than it is to explain, go to www.observedtrials.net there are many vidoes you can watch that should help you get the hang of pedal kicking. Also have a look at this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cuo7BslZXz8
  12. thanks. Oh em I dont really have any tachniques. Why what do you suggest? Hey sorry for the posts and yeah I'll try and remember not to do so many Thanks!

  16. Hey thanks but alot of the time if you get tar from the road side it'll have stones in it and scratch you're rims when applied. It would probably be usable if there was a way to get the stones out from the tar. any ideas???
  17. I have magura hs33 hydraulic rim brakes and I like to use tar but I am constantley having to borrow it from other people with me (which is fine) but sometimes im on my own and need tar but I dont have any. So I was wondering does anyone out there know where to find or buy tar???
  18. Hello my name is lewis and I currently own an onza rip at first I really liked the bike as it is good for beginners. Over time i modified it with diffent parts such as new froks, handlebars, stems, pedals, brakes, brake pads, chains, grips, bashguards,Bottom brackets and more. Now I am really wanting a new frame. I have my eye on a KO frame but want peoples thoughts on the frame before i commit to buying it. I was originally going to buy the echo team 09 frame off ebay but someone went and bought it before I did (which was unlucky). I only have £225 so I am looking for help to choose a decent frame within my budget (£225). Any help would be very much appreciated
  19. They would probably be quite good but they would be awful tedious puting on every time you want to go out on you're trials bike
  20. Yeah mine are really sore. If you are frequently getting shin digs then I advise you get some new pedals to prevent you're feet slipping off the pedals.
  21. Really I didnt know that. But cool. I think.
  22. Hello my name is Lewis. I was wondering where people ride their bikes and if they have any recommendations on where to go. I struggle finding objects to use in my tricks has anyone got any ideas on what to use. I usually ride about the harbour using pallets but I still could do with hearing about what other people use. Help would be much appreciated
  23. Hey you're really good. I really enjoyed the 2nd one.
