  1. Hey up, im from clacton... how old are you? u ride alot?

  2. Cheers mate, I've got Lukes number but If you could pop me urs in a pm that would be great. Looking forward too it Might bring my camera along too if you guys want? (Its not that great, just a cheapo DSLR, you might have better?)
  3. Hey dude Sounds awesome! Just started pretty recently so if you don't mind a n00b cramping your style... . Got a driving lesson in clacton around 4 ish and Ill have 2 take the train up from clacton so I prob wont be up there until around 6-7
  4. You could measure the free-fall time quite accurately with an accelerometer.
  5. Where are you from in essex mate, near Colchester by any chance?
  6. Sweeet! Looks hot dude. Roughly how much did did your 'inspired' cost altogether?
  7. Ok dude, happy to help. With the extra money I would look at upgrading the rear brake first getting some good vees (Avid sd7's give brilliant performance/money) and also get some sd7 levers because the stock tektros feel like shite. I find the front disk fine for trials after it has been bedded in but you might want to look at an avid bb7 setup if your not convinced. If your learning would defo recommend upgrading to some good platform pedals because the stock caged are never that pleasant to wack your leg into (as I have managed many times) And then you will probably want to get rid of the gears and buy some sprockets and something to tension your chain with. Good luck with your new phase
  8. He really did 'break' his hand So many puns to be made
  9. Hey mate, I got a phase 1.3 a few months ago and I couldn't be more happy with it to be honest. I heard at the time that the red phase 1.2 was better value (couldnt afford it at time though) but from what I can see now (Knowing a bit about trials) You could probably buy all of the upgrades that come with the 1.2 for the extra £140; from a description I just read the things your paying extra for on the 1.2 are the hs33's and the maxxis tyres. So I would say its all down to whatever colour you prefer and if you would rather choose your own upgrades. Hope that helped! Edit: Ah just thought of something... You don't get the magura mounts on the 1.3 and thats the only real benefit of the 1.2 I can see.

    Bandwagon!

Thought it was a marino at first xD looks even nicer though. What year was the frame made?
  11. Im a bit of a newbie to trials but I must of watched hundreds of trials clips and movies now and the amount of people that ride left foot forward really surprises me! I assumed that people who are right handed would naturally ride with their right foot forward however after doing a bit of goggling the percentage of left handed people in the world is somewhere between 10%-20% and It seems a much larger percent of peeps in trials vids ride left foot??? It would be great to get a poll going to see how figures go on this forum and to also see if anyone rides opposite foot forward to what they write with. Sorry for the essey but its not just you
  12. Thanks for replies. I managed to sort it by stripping a section from top layer of plastic housing the same size as the ferrel and then sliding it over. The Odyssey linear slic cable has two layers of plastic protection with two layers of metal cable wrapped inside(extremely hard to get a clean cut with standard wire cutters) Next time I will be getting some better wire cutters and I will try to do a proper job. The Odyssey cable came with the two ferrules so I'm sure its just that I did such an awful job cutting the wire. Would be great to hear from anyone with experience cutting the same cable
  13. I just got a new odyssey Linear slic cable for my trials bike and I really need some tips fitting it. I have managed to cut one end of the housing to size (With great difficulty!) but I can't manage to slide on the cable end fitting (think there called ferrules) as it is smaller than the housing. Please give me any tips if you have installed a similar cable before. Thanks
