  1. Tarty do give the best service anywhere for trials. Just today i enquired about an echo sl headset that i baught 1 week ago because it was clicking and they gave me a suggestion and then said: "if that doesnt work, give us a call back." they dont have to offer that service... but they do
  2. This will be the case for the new monty frame aswell
  3. I would stick to the pad reviews but i asked specifically about wet weather.
  4. Which is why i asked what works well with the rim and told everyone my whole set-up incase they had the same. Chances are that they arent gunna have exactly the same but just the same rim and a 2-bolt booster should be good enough
  5. How about maggura blacks? they may work well with my set-up.... on a serious note, Well no because it all matters what brake set-up you have doesnt it? brakes change with the compound of the rim dont they?
  6. Have you tried putting the link on the chit-chat section, pinkbike or observed trials or anything?
  7. I would if it was the spring time when it starts to get dry but heatsink blues need either a light or no grind and to be used in dry weather.
  8. Yeah, anyway, pads. Does anybody know if TNN pads will fit in heatsink backings? If not would it be easy to adapt them?
  9. NO!!! How could you say that!!! (i wish )
  10. No............................................
  11. Im guessing £1799, if not more. I worked out how much try-all are charging per gram for carbon on their bars and they charge £1.80 per gram. Which im guessing that the frame will be sub 1kg which works out £1650 and they will also charge for laybor. But i wouldnt be surprised if it did cost £2000 as adam said because at the end of the day he decides the prices of everything...
  12. Oh right, hmm, he may have had a different rim now i think about it...
  13. Either wait for the SL or buy a cheap freewheel untill it comes back in stock. Honestly i think that everyone would agree that the SL is undoubtabley the best
  14. Ive heard that they dont work in the wet... what setup do you have? Brakes work better/worse with different rims, grind and all sorts
  15. If you are 19 years old i am guessing you maybe tall? If you consider yourself tall, you need a 26" bike (not the black and gold kammel) called a stock. I would advise NOT buying a brand new one because they tend to be over priced for what you get. With seccond hand bikes, you can get a decent light bike without paying the extortionate prices. If you are shorter, a 20" called a mod is right for you. Again i wouldnt buy a brand new one because its just not worth it. Lastly there are 24" bikes which dont have another name. They are abit more unused than stocks or mods because they are quite new to the trials scene. Because of this, components are a little more scarce than parts on stocks or mods but most trials parts are universal (bars, grips, brakes, brake pads, pedals ect..). I find them easyer to use than a stock but im only a tiny 5ft4". My freind has just bought a 24" from going from a mod and he is about 5ft7" and he loves it to bits. Hope this helps you get started and gives you a little bit of an insight into the world of trials
  16. Basicly i want some new pads because my heatsink yellows only want to work when i have some tar on my rims but i do not have an endless supply of tar (and to be honest i cant be bothered any more to put a coating of tar on every ride ). So i want some new pads that also works well in the wet because its comming up to winter (well not that it matters because the weather is s*** all year round) and i want some pads that will let me go out and have a good time with even with my 4 t-shirts, 2 jumpers and a coat. Im running a raceline hs33 bled with water (will put some anti-freeze in at a later date), An echo sl 2-bolt brake booster, (in the next few weeks when i get it built i will have) An echo tr 19" rim and the frame i am running is an echo lite 2011 (if that matters at all). Hopefully within the next few weeks aswel, i will be getting some echo tr clamps. And before anyone makes any smart jokes, yes i do like echo I searched the forums and people seem to say that rockblues are the way forward in wet weather, but i would also like other suggestions Thanks

  18. Dude, your kamel sucks... get one of these upgraded ones
  19. I used have that same problem, i could get the height but i couldnt land it...but my mate told me to pretuck my arms and it helped alot. This technique is different for some people but i find that if i ride slower up to the obsticle then try and whip the cranks round quickly its easyer for me but by mate finds that going fast is better. Just experiment. Also, have you learnt to frenchie yet? I found that as i went to frenchie something that high, i would go to do it, get scared, and pullup early. I did it first time. P.S. On LiamN's video, watch his knees as he throws them forward.
  20. On a serious note on this thread, Krisboats has it pretty much spot on. As a 'Little rider' i have a mod and i just find it so much easyer than a stock. Because its smaller, weight distribution that you can control is easyer. For example: on a mod manueling, i can get my arse right over the rear wheel but on a stock the reach is longer and my arms are short so i cant put my arse over the wheel as far. Hope this made sense
  21. Get ali c to explain ... In a post a few months ago he stated it was "totally gay standards"
  22. If the heatsinks do have the potential to be that good, i may aswell get a new rim like a TR or something. cheers
  23. The problem is ive heard they eat grinds
  24. Looks like next sunday is the night boys
