  19. After recently taking my bike apart to give it a clean a quick service i noticed most of my weight is from my crank arms an pedals. Sorry if it is a daft question as i do know there quite a important part of the bike but am low on money. Is there any filling a can do to my crank arms to save weight there echo 165mm square taper, my pedals are dmr V8's i know there heavy but liked the grip on them, also seem to be lighter then my really old wellgo magnesiums, but what are the new ones like? Quick speck of my bike tyres: kenda (almost bald) maxxis creepy crawler (half worn) wheels: echo urban rim front (cut to single wall) hope XC hub, echo tr hub onzapro diamon rim bb: neon carbon bars: mcpuggy risers stem: echo brakes: echo tr rim brake, hope disc front forks: echo urbans (mounts cut off) frame: onza blade (back disc mounts cut off bash plate mounts cut off) if theres anythink i can mod let me know, like a mentioned before am low on money so i appeciate any advice on what i can an cant change. will give a bugget of what i can spend at the end of the week if i scrape up a small amount. An is there any type of thick oil i can buy, i only need a small amount, like the small magura royal blood oil size
  20. i have decided to just rim grind, its better for dry, wet, cold an a bit of mud. and as some one said confidence will be better thanks for all your opinions on the topic
  21. thats another thing thats poping up, smooth rims = no ride in the wet which i do like to do when its not to bad. ye i cleaned my rim as best i could was cold out could that effect the brake i will give it till afternoon tomorrow to see if it improves, if not i will be grinding i think it does seem better in the long run
