  1. I started the work today and used this method, but instead of the grinder I used a hacksaw It just need the final touches, the hole is already done I'll post some pics later
  2. I'm planning to give my frame a new paintjob and before painting it I want to cut a hole in my headtube, any size and technique recommendation? Another question, what do you think about these bike colors
  3. I live in Porto Alegre, RS and the store is in Minas Gerais, but they probably sent to Uruguay You can ask them to build a complete bike for you Here is the msn messenger e-mail from Clayton, who is the guy that owns the store, it would be interesting to talk to him cltrial@hotmail.com
  4. Hi Fede, I'm from Brazil, more specifically Rio Grande do Sul If you want a bike from echo, probably your best choice is to buy from a brazilian store, like this http://biketrialbrasil.com/loja/ This is probably where you're going to pay less taxes In the momente there aren't many products on stock in that store, but I'm pretty sure that in the next month all the products will be available again, it worth trying to contact that store It's good to know that are more people starting to pratice trials in south america
  5. I sanded the back of the pads, the brakeis not completly free of play, but improved a lot. Thanks for the advice It took less than 5 minutes to do the process, very fast and simple solution
  6. Are they as high as trialtech high rise ones?
  7. I was browsing in echobike.com when I found that Echo SL bars have 10º upsweep and 10º backsweep. Is this a new model of SL bars? Since the ones I got are 8º up and 4º back I would be cool if the new SL bars came with this geomtry, so the would ride like trialtech ones
  8. I got a hope tech trial on the rear and the pads also move a bit in the caliper. Ali C told my that it's normal, and as the times goes a small slot will be created in the backing of the pads that will prevent them from moving. He also said something about removing the paint of the backings, but I didn't understand it very well If anyone has a better solution it would be good to know, as this moving pads are REALLY annoying Sorry for my bad english
  9. Thanks for the fast reply Ali, it's a bit strange to balance in the rear wheel with this litle play, but I'll get used to it BTW, rear disc brakes are awesome, they provide an awesome hold
  10. I recently bought a hope tech trial for the rear. I've never used a rear disc before. Now I'm starting to get used with it. The brake has a small play, is it normal? I've checked everything, and it's all tighthen up, but I still got the tiny play. Somebody can help me finding the cause of this?
  11. Hi, my echo 108 freewheel is getting stucked. I want to remove the lockring to check and clean it. Somebody said that the threads of the lockring are oposite. So I need to turn it clockwise, right? Is there any recomended tool to remove the lockring? Thanks, and sorry for my bad english
  12. I'll try to test both designs in a fatigue simulator software and maybe solve this question
  13. I think that both designs are strong and in each of them the weak spot would be in a diferent place In the angled tubes design the weak spot would be near the seat tube welds In the flat tubes design the weak spot would be near the head tube welds I also think that the in the flat tubes desigg the frame would be more flexy than in the angled design I may be totally wrong, so it worth asking for a real engineer opinion And sorry for my bad english, since I'm brazilian
  14. The ebay link isn't working. You are going to use the brake on the rear or front? If it's for the rear you probably need a 3# calliper with an 160mm rotor
  15. Oh, it's pretty much the same geo of my because simple. What stem/bars combo are you running on the frame? It's good too see somebody doing some streety stuff of a frame like that
  16. Epic riding dude! What's the geo of that green zombie frame?
  17. Sorry I didn`t read well. But I was looking a tarty and I thought the 5# would be for Koxx frames with 160mm rotor. Can you explain the difference between 5# and 3# please?
  18. What if I want to run 160mm on the rear? My rear mount is IS standard
  19. Hi, I'm planning to get rear disc brake (hope tech trial) with a 160mm rotor for my because simple 20", but I'm not sure about the caliper size. Wich caliper should I get 3# or 5#? What is the diference between them? Thanks and sorry about any errors in my writing
  20. Nice bike, I would love to see a video of your riding in this bike What's the size of the stem that you are using?
  21. The rear tyre is 2.5, I think that the tyre is very good, I've never got any rear pinch since I got this tyre and I'm using a standard tube. O The tyre is also very springy. The only problem is that I ride mainly in the street, so the tyre is wearing out pretty fast
  22. Updated the spec and the pics, please have a look.
  23. Pretty cool video I have a little question for you, what stem are you using?
  24. It's is impossible to bunnyhop, not to side hop. I'm in doubt between getting a 150x30 stem or a 130x38 stem. I forgot to tell that I love to do front wheel moves and bunnyhops
