bit of girl trouble.......
emegrated out to australia a year ago, and went traveling with the girl friend of 2 years.
now i live in aus and she lives in uk.
and i wanna be with her more than anything but i made the decision to stay here and she to move home.
i kind of put it down to fate if theres such a thing. if its meant to be with someone it will happen.
it hurts but you gotta do what you gotta do in life. (kinda of awnsersed my own problem

this forum is great, havent really spoken to si for a while, noticed this new girl among the regulars and now all is known! lol... simon you put yourself in the worst situations you really do, for once do what YOU want, not what you think grant wants (the mate who liked her to start with) not what you think SHE wants and certainly not what you think anyone else wants you to do. If you want to kiss her and you think she does but is confused (typical girl :@) just go for it, you will only be left in the same situation you are now... at worse :/

In the early stages of a website and I'm having trouble making some 'sliding doors' CSS tabs for the navigation using a list.

Basically, because the 2 bg parts of the tabs are PNGs, I can't find a way to hide the extended 'right door' on the tab which shows under the left curved edge - because it's transparent. If it was a solid image then it would obviously overlap and cover it, but the background isn't a solid colour.
Anyone got any ideas?

It's converting the splines to polylines
in Max. select the spline, go to the modify panel and increase the interpolation value. If that doesn't sort it immediately you'll need to set curve values on each vertex manually.

(by the way, in cad.. to extrude a shape they have to be polylines, so before they were extruded (solid) they are polylines... I dont know if that changes anything)

been on the site and downloaded all the things I can see that would be of any possible use, the problem is autocad 2008 has the enabler, but im saving as 2004 :/

Im going from autocad (2008) to max8... but its not that simple..
Becasue (I think) my version of cad outdates my version of 3dsm Im having to save the cad file as a 2004 cad file and then using max import it. When I do this I get an object enabler error which i can continue without (which gives me that form)
I know in autocad you can change the number of points in a curve for display.. I always assumed as its vector based that was just a representation and not any part of the actual form which is curve.
I know a fair amount about autocad but next to nothing about 3dsm so im lost inbetween them at the mo.

I'm having some issues importing from autocad into 3dsm - the problem is that somewhere between the two programs the curves get lost and turned into straight lines, heres what I mean... (attached)
Does anyone know how to stop this happening?
(I'm using autocad 2008 and 3dsm 8 - im getting an object enabler error with cad and told to go to autodesk.com/oe but I still cant see anything for 2008, because max8 is old im saving as 2004 autocad file and importing that... im lost

The car was facing the wall, and was in gear with the handbrake on. From the looks of the floor they jacked the back up and stick skids under the rear wheels.
Im not going to ask for the car or anything, the less I have to do with them the better.
Ive got my car back safely and its all I care about.
If they do decide to contact me then they will get a raised middle finger, and I will take Brendans Approach.
the only time im going back to that yard is for my revenge tactic.

I read somewhere in this topic something like 'Religion is the root to all evil.' Now don't get me wrong I'm not a strictly religious person at all but I disagree with that sentence. I think that religion is a good idea that gives alot of people faith and helps them through hard times in their life. The corruption occurs in mankind, usually greed and wanting something or hiding behind religion to enforce ideas on people.
My post is a bit confusing, I'm not very good at putting my ideas into words. Basically don't blame religion, blame mankind.
thats true, religions can do a lot of good in this world and are no doubt a powerful structure in some peoples lives, theres no arguing against that... its more the does it really exist argument, which is significantly harder to argue once you actually have a basic understanding of science.
