  1. After having lots of trouble with maguras and vee's i wanted to try something new. So i went for a rear disc, i went to the local bike shop and picked up a shimano deore 2012. Its the best brake i have ever used, i have landed skips, pallets, cars, cable drums and tractor tyres on my rear wheel and the brake hasn't slipped once, if anyone wants a new brake this is the one to get ! Ps: If your wondering what i was doing riding on cars i was at the local trials show and was able to practice on there before it started and after it finished.
  2. This is from the description on tarty of the blade. "- Onza sealed rear hub and front open bearing disc hubs are both powder coated white." This sounds like you can use a disk on the rear too.
  3. Just get a set of creepy crawlers, rock 'n' roll bikes have them for about £15 a tyre.
  4. The only good remark i've had is from a ruff looking man and woman walking past as i was gapping a beck near where i live. The man said ''It's good to see young people getting them selves out and about keeping active'' and the woman said ''Yeah, your pretty good at doing them tricks dont ever give up and dont let anyone tell you your not good enough''
  5. Surely if you've bought a pair of hs33's you'll put one on the front ? Also if i were you id change the freewheel to an echo 108, they are the best you can buy, they don't skip and compaired to the fw you have on your bird it gives you more engagement points which will give you more power in your pedal kicks which will help you do bigger gaps/sidehops. Also you could think about getting some echo urban forks, as they will make the front end of your bike feel lighter.
  6. I'm a natural & pallet rider.
  7. I'll wait until i get payed from work and see what i'll do from there because I dont really see the point in spending all this money on rim brakes when i can get a rear disc for £60 that works almost as good as a hope.
  8. Pads would probably help i know but i would rather save the money sell my magura for £30-35 sell my clamps for £9 add an extra few pounds and get myself the new shimano deore which i know is a very good brake.
  9. The cylinders are as close as they will go, and there is still about 5mm spacing, i like my brake to bite almost immidiatley.
  10. I have an 05 style magura on my bike which was purchased from tarty about 2-3 months ago and im already on to my 3rd tpa knob. I orderd a new one from tarty 3 days ago and it came the next day, i put it in and put all my brake back together took my bike on the front to test it, pulled my brake once and all the threads were striped out Surely theres something wrong here, is it worth buying a metal tpa knob ?
  11. Well my rear magura has packed in for the 5th time and now im starting to get sick of it. So im thinking about going duel disc. I know the new shimano deore hydraulic disc brakes (im sure its what the 2011 onza pro is coming with F&R.) are almost as good as a hope on the front for less than half the price, but im wondering if anyone has tried them on the back, Or has anyone got a recommendation they use that isn't over £70.
  12. Put an old pair of pads in to avoid getting paint in the pistions and leave the hoses on and mask them up. And for the lever, take the blade and piston out. Then just sand them, primer them paint then lacquer.
  13. I have a tensile 60 click you can have for £25 posted i'll send it first thing monday morning.
  14. I have serviced the bb, it seemed fine, im pretty sure its the freewheel that packing up
  15. I'll give my bike a service during the week and grease and tighten the bb, thanks for you help.
  16. I have a clicking noise coming from my, BB/crank area (left side) it only happens when i put a lot of pressure on it when im at a stand still. I have changed the crank and pedals so its not that, im thinking its the BB. I'm going to take it out during the week and grease it up and make sure its tight. If that doesn't sort it i'll buy a new BB. Which one should i get, i'm debating between the, echo/trialtech and neon carbon fibre. Which would you's recommend for an onza pro 10. Thanks.
  17. I'm guessing around £2500 for the full build, basically because the kamel XXV is £2000.
  18. thanks man, and i've just bought this bike, i'll probably get one in around 6 months or so...
  19. It was in the garage drying, ive just sprayed it to match my bike, i looked stupid with a bright green lid, on a bright blue bike. Thanks for the comment though man,
