  1. Awesome, that’s glad to hear; 70mm, I thought I used a lot of stacker’s haha. I'm currently using a Try-All 3D forged stem with V!Z pro 720's which I've really come to like the feel of, I have done a bit of research and by changing my bars higher rise ones and a different stem I could achieve the same height without all the stackers, however that does mean splashing out some cash which I don’t want to do just for the sake of loosing some stackers. Many thanks for the reply.
  2. Hello everyone. I ride a Mod (ZOO! Lynx long) and due to being a very tall rider I need to have the bars at a high, but comfortable height. I've found that the easiest way to achieve this height is to use a bundle of stem stackers, around 45-50mm (I know that is a lot). Although I could replace the stem I have with a new one that is longer with a higher rise my current stem is still rather new and in very good condition. I am very happy with the set up that I am currently running, but would like to know if there is anything wrong with using a lot of stem stackers and if it can result in any problems with the bike. Many thanks, James.
  3. The Onza Zoot does not have disk hubs, however my friend has fitted an Evo mount for maggies on the rear which works rather well but did take some playing about with to get a good fit.
  4. Well I hear the Adobe video editing programs are rather good, however they are very expensive and I mean VERY expensive, however I do know that Adobe do test/trial versions of a lot of their software, it might not have all the features of the full versions but it might give you enough to play around with, probably worth giving it a go. My freind uses software called Sony Vegas Pro which he acquired, it is rather professional but he has told me that they do a 30 day trial. I hope you editing goes well and would love to see the videos when finished.
  5. Glad to be of some help. Most 4 bolt mounts are probably designed to fit a M5 bolt as that’s the size of the holes in the frame. However, depending on how much room there is around the slots for the bolts you could always file it out with a needle file, or carefully drill the slot out with a 6mm drill so the larger bolts fit, that should solve that problem if done well and carefully.
  6. Ok, this may come as bad news to you if you've drilled a hole for an M6 Helicoil already, but, I was talking to a friend about this the other day as some threads in my mounts are starting to strip out so I also did some searching on here and on Google/YouTube for people who have done this before, long story short its a M5 Helicoil kit that is needed for 4 bolt mounts. Hope this has been helpful and that you sort out your mounts.
  7. I've had a ride about on a Onza Zoot a couple of times now and they are really nice to ride, however I'm used to riding a mod so it just didn’t feel as 'trialsy' at all, but never the less it was very fun. The Zoot would be a good place to start but if you are defiantly considering upgrading it to a high spec then you might as well got for an Inspired as they've already got that top spec you want. Just a quick question, what Inspired was it you had in mind? As there are a few different models and builds now.
  8. 661 veggie knee pads are pretty slim fitting and slide on and off like a glove, they also 'attach' to the veggie shin pads which is pretty good if you were to get them too. Both me and a friend have used them and had no problems. My link ^Link for the knee pads.
  9. I've been running a 19" Echo TR wheel on my ZOO! for some time now and the only problem I’ve had with it is that two spokes recently snapped (possibly down to increasing the size of my drops and gaps) but nothing I haven’t been able to replace, the hub still runs nice and smoothly and the rim is still in very good shape, although it's around £100 I would still say money well spent. However you can get an Onza Pro wheelset for the same price and then you would have a spare front wheel too.
  10. I was looking at frames myself the other day on Tarty's. I came across the 'RockMan Bjorn' mainly due to the lovely green colour that caught my eye, but more to the point it does have a WB of 1025mm with a BB rise of +80mm, looks like a lush frame. It is a tad expensive but does have a BB rise closer to +85 compared to the Neon.
  11. Glad I found this topic as this was also on my mind. I also have a Echo TR wheel set for my mod, however I have only had two snap which I noticed while fitting a new rear tyre, both the spokes snapped in exactly the same place, very close to where they hook into the hub, similar situation to you? Did you knock them while riding or did they snap without you noticing at all? If I hadn’t been changing my tyre I could have easily continued to ride around with two snapped spokes. I think the main reason for my two snaps are that I have recently been increasing the scale of my drops and gaps, so like mentioned before it may just be wear and tear.
  12. I am also 6'3" 'ish' and I'm currently riding a ZOO! Lynx long, a lot of the time I think that I should maybe move onto a stock, however I have managed to build up this frame to be more than comfortable to ride. I think that all you need to do is find a nice long frame, then build it up with components that give the biggest reach and rise and this, like mine, should be very nice to ride for someone of your height. I have also found that you can easily get a good height from using a range of stem stackers if you can get a high enough rise with a stem. Hope this has been helpful.
  13. Alright george, looks like I finaly got round to signing up :D oh yeh, I got my new set of Try-All stikys the other day so I got a spare super slick one for you when you next come down haha!
