  1. I don't suppose you know what it was called or have a link to it? I would definitely like to see some chainless trials.
  2. I was amazed at how much speed he managed to pick up from just pushing and pumping, even on the short run ups. I loved his reverts from fakies too; his front wheel just glides across the floor, just looked so smooth, he definitely has a unique riding style.
  3. A friend of mine sent me this video and I was amazed, although it's not trials related I thought I would share it with you all. I know the brakeless scene is rapidly growing however I had never seen chainless riding. I'm not sure if it’s a re-post so sorry if it is. This is a very inspiring story of the rider too. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.
  4. If you've never been down to Portland and you like riding natural stuff then it would definitely be worth it. You can venture around The Bill where the rocks are a bit more jagged and natural, or around a few of the quarries when no one is working in them as there is tonnes of flat blocks of cut rock stacked about which are pretty good for playing about on.
  5. Cheers mate, spec looks pretty good, shame about snapping the frame though. Currently I ride a mod but I have always loved the streety style of 24's, especially brakeless as everything flows so smoothly, they look the business too. I'm sure one day I will build one of my own, hopefully sooner than later.
  6. Oh my gosh! That may well be one of the coolest single clips I have seen, music in the background definitely helps too, will be looking forward to the full video.
  7. I don't suppose you could do a spec on the bike? Or link me to one previously done?
  8. At a guess as I am unsure, I would have thought it meant that there is dirt, oil, or grit on the surface of the pad.
  9. I think Select Bikes sell some echo parts. SelectBikes
  10. That’s because they take forever to get them nailed, I've been trying them for ages on all sorts of different bikes and I can now get the balance pretty much spot on but I don’t cover anywhere near as much distance as you. Have you tried bunnyhops to manuals? Now they are hard. I must say though, you riding looks brill, love the spins and I think that’s one of the nicest Zoot’s I have ever seen.
  11. I liked the simplicity of the video, just the sound of brakes, freewheel clicks and birds. Looks like a brilliant place to ride too.
  12. With gaps like that, especially the one from one roof to another, you definitely need a lid mate. Good video though.
  13. Here you go. Loved the video mate, riding was good and the location looked brill. Top notch .
  14. Think out of those it would have to be either the Echo pure that doesn’t have any brakes, or the Phase 1.2. In my opinion those are the far by the top two out of all of those choices. The Phase looks in better condition that the Echo and it has brakes however it is £50 more, but then you would need to buy brakes. It's up to you on which you prefer, but I think the Phase looks well worth looking into a bit more.
  15. Agreed, however I've got 170mm TryAll cranks on my Mod and it feels brilliant.
  16. My friend had this problem with his jump bike, first plan was to take the seat off and clamp the post in a vice and twist the frame but we didn’t have enough room, therefore, depending on what your clamp on the seat post, we swapped the seat and fitted some old handle bars onto the seat post using the clamp, we then gave it a spray with some WD40 where the post goes into the frame, my friend held the bike and I just twisted the bars like a giant cork screw and pulled up at the same time, took quite a bit of effort but we got it out in the end, I suggest next time when you fit your next seat post that you clean out the seat tube and grease up your new post, that will make it a hell of a lot easier next time.
  17. If only other bike checks were like this. Brilliant!
  18. This was partly to see what my friends new camera was capable of, the clips, I think, were filmed at 720p at 60 fps, I guess that’s just not enough for high quality slow mo, however I don’t think the colour correction helped with the clips being glitchy in places either. I'll try and put more 'normal speed' clips in my next video, cheers for the comment.
  19. Thanks, I see what you mean, I think a lot of the clips that I've recorded for my next video are quite the opposite, a lot more wider shots compared to close ups.
  20. This is my first video; the majority of this was all recorded in less than a day so its only short. I'm planning on making a longer one next time. Comments and feedback would be appreciated. I hope you enjoy.
  21. A local car garage may have a helicoil kit, could see if they do before you splash out your cash.
  22. My friend has an Onza Zoot and he’s 6'1" and he more than happy with it, and that’s only a few inches taller than you. I'm sure you'll be fine on it, you’ve just got to give it some time so you can get used to how it feels to ride.
  23. I thought the riding was rather good, I liked the filming too; I'm currently in the middle of doing a video for myself so watching this was quite helpful with how I could film and put mine together. However, I personally don’t think the song choice was the best, I didn’t think it suited the riding but that’s just my opinion.
  24. Personally if it's only the frame that’s a lost cause I would strip it of parts and try to find yourself a nice 'cheap' Mod frame on here, at least it wouldn’t have been a complete waste of money. Also, don’t worry about being too tall for a 20" bike either, I'm 6'4" and I ride a Mod fine, just got to build it up until you’re comfortable with how it feels.
  25. Yeh looks alright I'd say, looks like a good bike to start off with and one that you can upgrade as you get better.
