  1. Smasin' video, that fakie to wall footplant thing was awesome as was the slide to footjam whip his riding is just getting more and more creative!! Top notch.
  2. Ok thanks, no reviews had been left on chainreaction so I thought I would try and get some on here.
  3. Indeed. However I have corrected the error now, Nuke Proof pads are available in DH, Enduro and Trail. So back on topic, what pads should I go for? Hope or one of the Nuke Proof pads?
  4. Oops, haha I got the 'i' and the 'a' the wrong way around, so, not Trial, but Trail. However If there was a 'Trials' pad then yes that would be the best.
  5. I've been looking for some new brake pads for my Hope mono trial so I decided to shop around to see what would be best. Initially I would have gone with Hope pads, however while shopping around I found that Nuke Proof make brake pads for the mono trial brake. Therefore I would like to know if anyone has used these pads before and if they are better than the Hope ones. The Nuke Proof's are available in 3 different types, DH, Enduro and Trail, each with a different spec, so if I were to buy Nuke Proof pads instead of Hope I would also like to know what type would be the best for trials. Thanks, James.
  6. I think it will have to be a BMX freehub (if you choose a freehub over a freewheel) however be careful choosing as some makes have an opposite set up, the freehub bit on the left instead of the right.
  7. Just had a look through them and it seems they are all 135mm. What Dj frame have you got as I thought 135mm rear axle was pretty much the standard, but I may have been wrong.
  8. Ah I see, I know Profile make a freehub but not with splines on like the Pro2's but instead it has a single sprocket which you can pick the size you want (I think). I know Ns also make freehubs which a Dj and street specific but I'm not sure if they come in 110mm length.
  9. If you want something really loud then you'd what to get a freehub (instead of a freewheel), the new Hope Pro2 Evo in particular, extremely loud but also very expensive. The Halo freehubs are quite loud too; best thing with a freehub is that you can just slide on whatever size sprocket that you want.
  10. Alright cheers for the feedback, I'll continue my hunt for a tyre combo for my 26" build then, or at least a different front tyre to buy.
  11. That’s a beauty. What’s your opinion on the tyre combo your running at the mo as I was thinking about getting a Queen and King for my Fans build.
  12. That was smashin', some really impressive stuff. Bmxer in the background at 00:46 pulled a huge spin from a fakie too.
  13. That looks smashing! as for the BB, I had the same problem with my TrialTech BB as the tool didn’t fit over the spacer on the non-drive side, so I just put the non-drive side cup in first then the drive side, took a bit of playing about with to get the correct amount of threads in and tightness but I got there in the end and it works great.
  14. I had this problem too, I just screwed them in as far as they would go, measured how much was still sticking out, then used a hack saw to trim the amount I had measured off of the end, then de-burred the end down with a file so it would screw into the thread smoothly. Just take little bits off at a time until you have the desired length.
  15. I've got some V!Z Pro 720's on my mod and they seem to be ticking all the boxes, love the feel of them and they are as light as a feather, well nearly , however they are quite pricey, I've also used the TrialTech bars and they feel really good too and they're not as expensive as the V!Z ones.
  16. I love the green rim tape on the white rims....maybe down to the fact that that’s what I have on my mod haha. Are you going for a similar green to that of the 2011 Inspired? I can't wait to see it finished, it will most definitely stand out.
  17. well, got my first trials bike 2 years ago, but personally i think I've only been riding 'properly' over this and last year.

  18. Not sure, depends on what speed the cassette is (how many sprockets there are on the block), however if I were you I'd scrap the gears and definitely go single speed.
  19. Well done mate, keep it up. Seeing it's an un-named rim it’s probably a good idea not to grind it , I hate slippy pedals; you just end up with tonnes of holes in your shins. As for the BB5, I've only ever heard good things about them, a lot cheaper than a hydraulic brake too, I'm thinking about getting one for my stock that I'm currently building.
  20. I'm not sure, if Tarty only have them with aluminium backings then I'm guessing that’s the only way they come. Also I grinded my rim the other day to make my brake perform better and I'm very pleased with the outcome, by far the best brake set up I have had on the back, so if you do get yellows I suggest putting a medium grind on your rim. Just need to practise mate, takes a while to get the hang of but once you have you'll be trying all sorts.
  21. The riding was good but the music choice wasn't.
  22. To be perfectly honest I think it was inevitable that most of those lines were going to end with a big fat bail! Edit: Don't be a skid, wear a lid!
  23. Glad to see you finally got a bike mate!! Looks pretty good too . Talking about pads, I recently bought myself some Heatsink yellows (plastic backings) for my rear Maggie, I previously had green Neon pads (for smooth rims) and they worked well but only when freshly clean, anyway, I fitted my heatsinks the other day and so far I can’t fault them, I haven’t got around to grinding the rim yet but they hold brilliant at the moment so I might leave it smooth for a while.
  24. If you do this I think you should have to upload a picture or pictures of the spot/location, as well as information about it.
  25. Oh my gosh! I don't see how most of the stuff he did in that vid would be possible without a chain. Crazy I tell you!!
