  1. Top stuff! (Probably a repeat of what someone else as said)  I can see what people mean by a lot of videos and stuff on facebook and maybe some on here I also did similar things (Probably still do with photos) just gotta try resist posting so frequently as I know its hard to resist and its always nice just to see that people have acknowledged your posts.

  2. How did you get this booster onto your rear brake? When writing "the little red knob" I don't refer to a TPA but the Speed Dial 7 Lever that gives you even more braking power as you can adjust the mechanical advantage.

edit: Never mind. Just saw your setup on the 20''. I'll try that on mine as well running dual boosters. :D

I know what you mean I'm just use to calling it a TPA (spent too long with the hydraulics :L)

Slightly better photos of the set up for you:

  3. Interested to know what you think of that rear V, have you ridden it much yet?

I think it works great to be honest. I tested the set up on my Echo 26" and I got fed up with re occurring issues I had with my old hydro. I've just recently changed the pads to LGM's aswell and its just gotten better. I think people judge V brakes too much to be honest because although they do require you to tighten the cable now and then they do last quite a while but other than that theres hardly any other adjustment if you get a reasonable set up

  4. Get one of those rare XTR Carbon Boosters (or Salsa for that matter) and your rear brake will performe much better. I ran mine with a TRP Booster in the beginning but putting on the Shimano booster still made a huge difference. Also, the SD7 lever gives you the opportunity to adjust the power of the brake. I dunno how the FRs are but dialing in all the way the little red knob on a SD7 gives you more power (better mechanical advantage/softer bite point).

edit: Why not run front Vee as well?

Front brake works so i don't see any need to change it, I always had rear brake issues and this brake is the only one that works for me as i use to be dual hydros. I have a Trialtech 2 bolt booster and that seems to make it perform a lot better than my old set up Im not overly bothered with tpa system as i know i dont need to make any adjustments to the brake. I run the same set up on my Breath 20" had no issues (Apart from front disc on the mod)
  5. Again some changes. V-Brake is so far the best brake I've ridden and I've had pretty much all the trial brakes out there. The grips weren't supposed to be like this but I tore one apart when changing the brake lever.

Get some Shimano Deore or XT levers, they're really nice feeling. I have Deores on my mod and on the rear of my Stock, I think they're more comfortable than the Avids

  6. It's unlisted on youtube so anyone with the link can see it which at the moment is anyone on here. If it gets taken down then it gets taken down, i'm sure Chris will solve what ever issues he's facing and he'll be uploading it either the same or slightly different soon

Apart from his opening barca part of trial noir (it's just special), I think that's the best video he has ever done.

I thought maybe a music issue, but it seems legit. Maybe it was supposed to go up privately ? Or could even be someone at mongoose shitting bricks over something in it ?

Glad that Internet bike geeks have enabled me to see it!

Doubt it would be music issues because it's been taken off Vimeo and they don't tend to care as much as youtube unless the rules have changed
