  2. jacks not gay and this isnt jack writeing this;)
  3. oh but your 2 years older.

  4. thats crazy! and we started riding at the same time too roughly

  5. i need one too but i need money
  6. i'm pretty sre the number of engagement points is even. youre also gonna need to get a booster if your bike is like mine. the frame flexes alot when you pull the brakes.
  7. im pretty sure i need a free hub from reading in the FAQ. I found that my 1.2 has hardly any engagement points either which is frustrating.
  8. im learning with caged pedals and it isnt the best idea in the world but ah well il have to try it later when its stopped raining.
  9. would a fixed hub and freewheel not work? i can't see any reason why it wouldnt but i dont know that much about bikes. im going to single speed but im just considering my options to make it as cheap as possible.
  10. i have vertical dropouts so i have to run a free hub EDIT: i think so anyway. thats what my mate reckons but il have a search and ask the forum if not
  11. i am. im getting a tensioner and single speed kit from superstar components when i get the chance to put money in the bank and then il save up eventually get a hope pro 2 free hub but for the meanwhile i will just put on a tensioner instead of a derailleur.
  12. i just searched them and they look sweet! Mist Forks
  13. trashzen is great, it tells you everything. i have nothing to record with that would be decent quality and i dont wanna make a fool of myself because i probably look really stupid. i can do things on either side, i tend not to though because of my derailleur and how it tends to be a magnet to walls and steps ive messed the hanger up so bad. when the tensioner goes on il properly straighten out the hanger and it should all be alot better.
  14. it may feel as hard as a rick but it will go pretty flat if you land on the edge of something. i tried getting up something and the back wheel slammed in to the edge of the wall and i got a pinch flat and theyre horrible to repair because theyre so close to each other... i know ive had 3 pinch flats already.
  15. I've been riding all day 3 times and ive been out for a couple of hours in the evenings about 3 times. How long have you been riding for? and your sidehops are pretty good but try getting up something higher and being a little closer to the object so you don't waste power going so far sideways. post on members organised rides and organise meeting up somewhere and I'm sure there will be a few people around to ride with and show you how to do things and improve. You will also be more motivated because everyone else is riding so you will want to keep riding.
  16. you havent seen me and you really dont wanna
  17. I can safely say that you're alot better than i am
  18. i dunno. he just said he couldnt get used to the letting go of the brake and kicking and braking again so he tried on the ground and it helped him. i wouldnt have thought it would be that hard but i dont know i havent tried yet.
  19. i saw someone on the forum say something about trying the actual braking and pedaling flat on the ground so you don't have to worry about balancing or anything and then when you get used to that part, try it properly on the back wheel. i haven't tried it but it worked for someone else.
  20. Not bad. I see youre doing pretty well. I'm getting to that stage now. I can get on the back wheel ok but i cant hold it for long but I'm thinking about trying to add in the hop as well now so next week i know what I'm aiming for.
