    Shuttle Help

Im soon building a shuttle and it takes alot of time sifting through all the different barebones models and types of hardware... so I thought id request the views of people who already have evidence based opinions. Not intended for gaming use, just work and media so I thought... I have no opinion regarding AMD/Intel around 2.5ghz would be nice 512 ddr (corsair) would also be nice around 120gb is a DVD-RW needed?... just a player would probably suffice cheapness is a significant factor What model and hardware would people recommend? Do you think a shuttle would be a good idea? Tips? thanks for any help, Tom

You CAN get away with it no matter how strict the rules are, don't worry. Even if you are lacking in cunning skills and they make you get it out, there is allways a bike store or a safe place to store it locally... rent a locals garage out for example, this is what i did for a few months. :- Tom

    Revision

Really, all this... 'I did nowt/loads and got ...etc' is completely unhelpful as everyones ability is different. Basically, it comes down to the fact that it's better to do too much than too little, so do as much as you can possibly be bothered to do. Of course, the ealier you start the better, as you'll have less to do later on (only if you have extra time on top of your regular work, it would be silly to let that suffer). Just work as hard as you can be arsed to and see how it goes. Tom
  8. it really does suprise me how many retards there are in the world. Definately worth a watch. I remember it from a while back, says hes ok now though. boys will be boys
  9. hmm, basically TT's wouldn't last very long. New forks have really high prices relative to second hand items at that price. I would definately not recommend you buy new forks in that price range when there are plenty of other (and i mean loads) nicer forks, second hand, for the same money. Just try to keep the travel down (e.g. not 120mm) as it will bump up the price, its not needed and it'll affect control. Personally, i think the rockshox 'feel' (firm rebound and sag) is great for street, however, I've found they dont hold up to abuse as well as say, marzocchi's. Hope I've helped. :S Tom

  13. There's no need to swear just because you dont get it... It doesnt do you any favours. Each to their own though I guess. I rate this topic :ermm: ... anyone got any more of this sort of thing? Tom
  14. You're more likely to choose the goat in the initial situation (2/3 rather than 1/3 for the car) therefore you are more likely to get the car if you switch doors.... because the door you have already chosen is more likely to be a goat. But the moral of the story is that maths is allways right, but this right answer does not allways represent whats happening... and this is the problem with mathematical probability, it doesnt apply to the individual situation at all.... For example, a doctor tells his patient he has to undergo life threataning heart surgery and explains that there is a 30% chance he'll make it and a 70% chance he'll not. The patient then asks, "am I in the 30% or the 70%". I like thinking Tom
